Fable 2 I remember putting quite a bit of time into. I enjoyed playing it and while it was solo I did get one of my friends into the series. I remember though on my first playthrough I fucked myself over by not having my first child before going to the Spire for the first time so my Hero was childless on that file. I was extremely pissed at first. It was my first Fable game.

I played a lot more Fable II today with Mark.
I'm hunting down those gargoyles and silver keys. Some of those gargoyles and keys are only available once you do certain quests. One gargoyle is accessible only after you beat the game and buy the most expensive house in the world, where it is inside. So this achievement of gargoyle destruction will lead me into doing all the quests and master the economy of the game. So far I've been buying relatively cheap roadside shops, but I bought my first house to rent out and a stage coach service today. The cash keeps coming in unless one of the town's economy tanks, and I have to go and lower prices.
I beat the Crucible, which is a battle arena that leads to a boat ride to the Spire where you do the last main missions of the game. I avoided the Spire, though, and went back to complete any quests I missed. Then I ran out of time to play.
This game still looks really great. I guess the XBO boosts the graphics a bit from the original, but it hasn't been remastered or anything, and I think it still looks really impressive. Its art style is fanciful in that it has bright colors not quite true to real life. I've noticed the same style in games like Overlord. It's still very detailed, though. I really enjoy exploring the world.
I was thinking the other day that I couldn't think of another game that devotes as much time to the use of emotion as a gameplay element. Using expressions to influence people has been done in the Elder Scrolls games, but I think it's much more dramatic in Fable II. A bit silly, but dramatic. Elder Scrolls doesn't really make me smile like Fable does in these interactions.
I wanted to add a screenshot here showing how friends' thumbnail ID images appear in the Fable II world to hilarious effect, but XBO wouldn't send to OneDrive again. So frustrating. Mark has a Master Chief head as his image, and it appears as a floating sphere whereever he is in the game. If we are both at the same part of the map, playing at the same time, our floating heads appear in each other's world. I overlayed my body with the Master Chief head so it looked like MC was in the game. You'd think XBO-to-OneDrive connectibility would work smoothy since both are Microsoft. I wonder what's up with that?
