And My Halloween Game This Year Is....

While not among my very favorite horror themed games, I figure now is a good time to actually get my money's worth. I have played many hours of the cooperative and a little competitive. But have only touched one mission of the single player. While MP is fun, it can be annoying to play with others who don't believe in teamwork and aren't there to help out when you're being pulled away by a Smoker. Seems AI teamates do a better job of looking out for you and each other. I never really "learned" the game before jumping into online play.

Also this is a game I can finish within the limited window I have.

Also also, I like the atmosphere of this game. It's perfect for the holiday.

I will also be messing with some Shadowgate (NES), Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Super Ghouls and Ghosts, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Maybe a few rounds of Killing Floor 1. These I will not be aiming to finish. Not this season.

What is your Halloween pick this year?

I'm playing Costume Quest 2 with my kids. We played the first last year. Hoping we can actually get through it in a reasonable time frame.

Came close to picking Costume Quest 1. If by any chance I have time I may start it.

Hmmmm. I didn't have one. Maybe I'll go through my library and see if I have any scary games I haven't played!

I'm sure you have something that fits the bill. Or use this as an excuse to get something new.

Maybe I'll pick up Grabbed by Ghoulies on Xbox this weekend.

Not familiar with that one. Going to look it up.

Love Left4Dead2. Have you played the Resident Evil 2 mod? Pretty neat! The recreated RE2 campaign, at least in PC version anyway.

I usually play Horror type games throughout the end of the year. I never finished Alien Isolation because of a dumb save kiosk glitch in the PC version when it first launched, but its on sale now on PSN for $10, so  may try it again. Quite loved the atmosphere, which is a big thing with me in games. Meanwhile, I've been playing Bloodborne again, which is quite dark. I might do another EvilWithin1 playthough again this weekend.

No mods yet. I'll give it a look after I get done with SP.

I have nothing to play any of those other games on. Don't know if this laptop can run AI or TEW.

My Halloween game is one I just reviewed: Mystik Belle!

Reminds me of the Cotton games. Series of Japanese shmups starring a young witch.

Yup, except this isn't a shooter.  It really reminds me of a game that would've been done back in the GBA days.

I never did finish Order of Ecclessia. For Halloween, I'll either play Until Dawn with friends or whatever is available alone.

Play OoE. It's cool.  I don't know if it's my favorite of the DS 'vanias, but they are all great imo.

I don't really have a Halloween game of the year. Castlevania is usually what comes to mind for that. Or Ghosts 'n' Goblins. Or Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Pretty similar to me then. Btw, I remember why I stopped playing L4D2 single player. Dull as dishwater.
