I'd like to see that new Thor movie.
Here's a dumb joke about Thor:
One day, Thor leapt on his mighty steed and bellowed out, "I'm Thor!!"
And then the horse turned to him and said, "Well thit on the thaddle, thilly!"

Mark and I saw Thor Ragnarok today. It was really great. I loved it in every aspect. It's a movie I'd own and rewatch, and that's kind of rare for me. It's defintely my favorite Thor movie. I wasn't a huge fan of either of the other two.
Then I finished the Love ending in Fable II. It took longer than I expected. At a couple points in the game you are asked to gain more renown before you can continue. That sent me to non-main story quests. I also had to maintain at least one marriage so I'd have one when the critical part in the story happened. Trying to keep my wives happy, and fend off the blackmail letters that threatened to tell one wife of the other one in another town, was another distraction that made it take longer, but I got it done, finally.
I took one last look at the remaining three achievements and realized there was one more I could get without online trading, the Murgo's Dyes one. I misread it previously and thought I had to trade with someone to get them all, but no, you just need the ones found in Murgo's missions once you complete them. New things pop up in those worlds when you clear them and the rewards are Murgo's Dyes. I didn't realize that. So I cleared the first set of four in the Snow Globe world. Then I had to stop for the night, so I still have the four in the Skull world and one last one (with really crazy requirements) in the Colosseum. I'll do those pretty quickly, I think, on Wednesday when I take my second day off of the week. Then I'll install my rental game finally, Lego City Undercover, and see if I like that.
Good one.
The movie was so much fun. Not a dull moment. I swear it has a kind of anime feel. I love the colorful movie posters too. The director is Taika Waititi from New Zealand and he was a comic. So the movie is genuinely funny throughout without really overdoing it. Guardians perhaps goes a little over the edge with it, but Ragnarok gets it just right, in my opinion.
Hey I ended up getting to see the new Thor movie the other day. I enjoyed it a lot. It's a bit silly but not as much as Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was. But that's OK because I don't mind silly. You're watching a movie about a comic book, what do you expect? :)
Also I liked the Valkyrie character. :)
I saw the first one on DVD at someone's place. I think I went with a friend to see the second one in the theaters even though I didn't care much to see it. This one, I was excited from the first trailers. It just seemed more fun. Thor vs. Hulk. I remember the Thor vs. animated movies and thought they were great.
I thought the new Thor movie was really fun, but there were some serious moments I didn't really feel the impact of because it's pretty much a straight up comedy. I do love the imagery in the battle scene at the end though. Someone described it as a 70s metal album cover come to life. I can't argue with that.
Only problem is, isn't the green lady supposed to be super-menacing? Cause the tone of the movie kind of ruined that effect for me. I know she killed a lot of people and destroyed ASGARDIA, but it was done in the midst of jokes about The Devil's Anus. Kind of hard to take it seriously.
She was totally bad ass, but it was like Ronan in Guardians. He's surounded by chuckle heads spoiling his party. It does kind of make him and her look like buffoons. I thought she was pretty cool and powerful in the film though. I never thought about the humor going too far like I did with Guardians in that last scene with Ronan. Plus I like super hero movies that don't take themselves too seriously. I've had enough of the Nolan style to last a lifetime.
