I did want to check this game out. I think I tried to download the demo but it didn't take for space reasons... or maybe that was a different game. This game seems chill though.

I played the Ever Oasis demo on 3DS. It's short, like 30 minutes or so but it gives you the idea of the game. You're the oasis chief and are tasked with growing and improving the oasis before a dark force can come and destroy it. New people appear in the Oasis and ask you to do things to help them. If you do, they will join the Oasis and start a shop that grows from a plant. This draws in more potential citizens.
So the demo gives you a couple short quests and lets you mess around in the shops, but that's about it. Outside the oasis on quests, you fight in real time and solve puzzles. Citizens can join your party and provide special skills to beat enemies and solve puzzles. I really liked it. It's definitely staying on my buy list for when I can get it.
