While watching the Eagles parade on TV, I played some Pinball FX3 after not playing it for probably a year or more. Then I wasn't in the mood for an open world game like Agents of Mayhem, but a RPG, so I started the download for Dragon Age Origins and got back to my Necromancer in Diablo III.
Pinball FX3. They just made it possible to import most of your games from Pinball FX2, so I did that and then played them all again for challenges and high score. I watched a training vid too and realized how to nudge pass from one flipper to another. In Pinball Arcade, I was trying to incorporate tilting into my play, but I never thought about The Nudge, which is just a very slight bump of the table to move the ball a tiny bit. Still, it's difficult to pull off in the midst of a fast paced game. I got good at trapping though. That I used constantly to better control my shots.
Pinball FX3 is really great. The home page suggests challenges you can do on your tables, which I used all the time to revist my old tables. There's a multiplayer mode where you challenge players who have set scores on certain tables. You just compete and try to level up enough to make the first cut. I just did it a few times. You'd have to keep up with it for days to get anywhere.
I also bought the Bethesda pack of three tables: Fallout 4, Doom and Skyrim ($11). Great tables every one. I especially liked Skyrim which incorporates leveling, equipment, and even a story. Really great stuff.
Then I wanted to go back to Agents of Mayhem but felt more like a RPG, so I played some Diablo III and raised the dead with my Necromancer. Its abilities are really cool. I've got a pack of skeletons fighting for me, undead mages, a health draining spell, and one that turns corpses into daggers that attack foes. Oh yea, and I can eat corpses for health. Yikes! I'm a fright. I love it.
