Toy Tyme: Disney Infinity 3.0 - Star Wars: Clone Wars

Disney Infinity 3.0 was mostly about Star Wars and took from the movies and TV shows. There was an Inside Out playset, Marvel Battlegrounds playset and a Finding Dory playset. Also there were single figures to buy from franchises like Mulan, Jungle Book and Tron: Legacy, just to name a few. I started out with just the original series Star Wars figures but soon ended up getting almost all 46 of them.

I'm starting with wave 1 of figures, the first that came out, and then breaking them down by franchise. First up are the Wave 1 Star Wars: Clone Wars figures.

Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano

Anakin and Ahsoka were in the starter pack. I'm missing Obi-Wan Kenobi.

I remember that all the Star Wars playsets were pretty cool including The Twilight of the Republic one that went with these characters. These games are a lot like Lego games but with much better fighting. "Pretty simple, these games are, but a lot of fun." So says Yoda.

I remember seeing the Clone Wars movie and liking it but the TV show felt so derivative and unoriginal, I couldn't stay with it. Every so often, I want to watch it again to see if I like it. Naw, I'll play the game again instead.

Wait, you liked Episode II? That's honestly my least favorite.

By "original series" I mean Ep IV, V and VI.

the original Clone Wars cartoon by the guy who did Samurai Jack is fucking awesome.

Oh wow. The 2003 series not the 2008 one I was referencing. I don't think I've seen that. I'll have to now with just talent at the helm.

I hear the 2-D animated Clone Wars series was good, since Genndy Tartakofksy did it, but the computer animated one not so much.

Finding Dory and Inside Out playsets sound interesting.

I would've been interested in the Tron figures had they been from the movies and not the Tron: Legacy cartoon.

I'm just being reminded of that 2003 series by Matt. I'll have to see it for sure.

Inside Out was a platformer, kinda cool, but not my favorite. I haven't played the Finding Dory one yet. I managed to get it thinking I wouldn't because it came out just after they announced the end of Disney Infinity.

Yea really. I was always on the fence about the Tron figures because they weren't from the original movie.

That Yoda figure is freaking cool. That is a desk worthy piece right there. I don't think I've seen all of the Animated stuff, and I used to joke with my younger cousins that I knew how the story would end. They didn't get it.

I had to have Yoda if nothing else.
