I decided to go straight 5-year spans. I'm using this list for all media, not just games, so this will make it easier for music, film and books. Here's the revised list with consoles placed in the range where they released, not their life span. In playing the games, I'll stick to a console but play any game that came out for it regardless of release date.

January – 65-69: Pinball

Feb – 70-74: Pong

March – 75-79: Atari 2600

April – 80– 84: Arcade, IntellivisionColecovisionGame & Watch

May –  85-89: Arcade, NES, SMS, Gameboy

June– 90-94: SNES, Genesis

July – 95-99: N64, GBC, Saturn, Playstation, Dreamcast

August– 00-04: GameCube, GBA, Xbox, PS2

Sept – 05-09: X360, Wii, DS, PS3, PSP

Oct - 10-14: 3DS, Vita, Wii-U, PS4, XBO

Oct - 15-19 - Switch

Nov -  20-24 ?

Dec -  25-29 ?

Oct through December are the present, so maybe I need to change that. Not sure how though since I can't think of anything before pinball. Electro-mechanical games would be cool if someone had made digital versions of them for computers. Finding the machines in the wild is not something I could do right now. To fill 12 months I'd have to go  back to 50-55. Television arrived in those years. Can't think of what to do about games though unless I play board games. Not sure I want to do that.

I love this metagame stuff.

Did pong ever get a pinball machine?

Ha! It should have. I can see Breakout as a pinball machine.

May looks like it would be my fun time because I remember when a lot of the games came out and when the Gameboy was a lot of fun. Speaking of, I should go look for my Gameboy handhelds.

I just packed up my 3DS, sadly enough. I'd been bringing it everywhere for years. I guess I'm downsizing.
