ah the ticket is nice.
I've noticed in the trailers how seamless the effects are. They certainly have perfected that shit.
Hope you are having a good weekend!

Just saw this today on an IMAX screen. I loved the first one mainly for it's cartoon/anime quality. This one has a better story and takes longer to build, but isn't quite as exciting overall. Good plot twists though. I'll give it that. It was worth the watch. I had to see it on the biggest screen possible. Wish it was in 3D though. Here's the collectible ticket I got:
The effects in this movie are incredible. I know it's CG but it still impresses with all the detail and fast paced action. I wonder if we're all going to pilot vehicles one day via the virtual reality, whole body-mind hookup they devised for the Jaegers in this film?
I'm going to go see Pacific Rim Uprising on Tuesday for two reasons. One, I'm off work that day, and two, the theater I'm going to see it in has a 5 dollar ticket special on Tuesdays.
I liked the first Pacific Rim. I called it "Anime: The Movie." Did you know the computer voice in the first movie was the same lady who did the voice of GlaDOS?
I love this series so much. This one wasn't quite as good as far as the action (not enough kaiju), but I liked the characters better. I love how good giant monster movies look now. I can't wait for the Godzilla/King Kong crossover, and I really hope that we get another Pacific Rim, but considering how poorly this one is doing I won't hold my breath.
Too bad too, because this Pacific Rim sets up a possible awesome third movie at the end.
Godzilla/King Kong sounds amazing. I will definitely see that.
I saw the Rampage trailer before Pacific Rim and its got the big monsters, but I don't think I'll see it. I'm not a huge fan of the Rock and it's not weird enough for me.
I'm gonna wait a bit before checking out this flick. Originally I wasn't a fan of the first flick but after watching it a couple of times and just enjoying it as an over the top popcorn flick I really liked it. Good call on the IMAX, I would do the same but I like having the swanky theater 5 minutes away instead of the 20 minute trek to the nearist IMAX.
