Valkyria Revolution Enters the Library

This is my monthly library buy. I got it at Gamestop for $15, as a result of my GS membership discount. I got it new even though it was labeled used. That's GS's little trick for pocketting all the money, but it benefits me since I got a new game for a used price. And not just a new game, a day-one edition. Or, maybe it's a collector's edition, I'm not sure. But take a look:

I got a pin and a soundtrack cd in this slightly larger than normal box. Cool!

I played this game on a rental last year and was disappointed with it because I expected Valkyria Chronicles level graphics and gameplay, which it doesn't measure up to in either area; but, I wanted it in my library because I love the series so much. I'll probably revisit it again to see what additional fun I can get out of it.

wow. Good deal. Although, I've heard some bad things about that game. I can't wait until the real sequel comes out. I loved the first one, but mostly dabbled with the PSP one a little, didn't get far. The mood in it was different, kind of like a silly anime game. Here's hoping the new one is great!

Fans of Valkyria Chronicles need not get this except me who has to have it. I am all over the new one when it hits. A true sequel. I never did get far in any of them. They get hard. I love that battle system so much though.

I'm glad you know what you're getting into. I have not heard good things about that game.

It's just kind of mediocre, not broken or anything. It's also an action game and not a turn based one and the graphics are noticeably worse than even PS3 Valkyria Chronicles. Well, it's still in the world of that series and maybe I'll play it for achievements next time.

Nice pickup! I always thought the used but new stuff were items given to GameStop store management but they turn around and sell it to the store for credit. Good to know it still has everything included AND sealed!
