The Game & Watch Gallery titles are REALLY good. If you enjoyed the first one, you should try 2 or 3 or G&W Gallery Advance. They're even better!
I reviewed Cars 3 and it was also a pretty decent little racer.

I finished up with Letter Quest, played some Game & Watch games, checked out the new update in Minecraft, tried to complete Dead Rising Case 0, and got deep into Cars 2. I also started the install of Halo Wars Definitive Edition on Game Pass because I might want to play that again. I'm pretty sure it has a whole new set of achievements from the 360 version too.
Letter Quest: My last achievement is to win a level with 1 health remaining. I tried to do the math to see if there was a nonrandom way to get it, but I couldn't come up with a solution. It just seems mostly random. There are a few things you can do to make it more likely, but it's still random. I played on Expert mode for a handful of levels trying to make it happen, but no luck. I'm tempted to play through the whole quest on Expert to try and make it work, but I think I'm done. I just can't form another word.
Game & Watch Gallery: I used my 3DS while Mark was at the doctors and played Oil Panic and the other three Game & Watch Games in this collection. Oil Panic is pretty good, as are all of them. You catch oil from an upper level and drop in into a bucket being carried by a moving character below you. In the Mario version of the game, you drop the oil in Yoshi's mouth and carry two containers that can be rotated. It's a neat game and challenging. I want to unlock the other games but I've been told it requires 400 or 800 points in the games. I don't know if that is cumulative or high score though. If it's high score, I'm in trouble because I haven't gotten to 200 in any game yet.
Minecraft: Just spent a little time with this while stuff installed. There was a new update and some beta content I activated. It was for ocean stuff, specifics I'm unsure of, but when I played I got speared by a trident from a zombie in the water. The world only gets more dangerous with each update, it seems.
Dead Rising Case 0: This was the first one on my short games list. I had gotten this for free years ago and played it a little bit. Returning, I got a little farther. You're stuck in this zombie filled town with your daughter who needs Zombrex to stay alive. You make weapons out of tools and venture out to find some. I got half the motorcycle built when I ran out of time. I really wish there wasn't a time limit in this game. I didn't want to restart it.
Cars 2: Freebie this month from Games with Gold. It's actually a very solid Mario Kart style game. Controls are sound and the races fun. You mix it up with arena battles, races with weapons, and a mode where you try and keep a shield up on your car for as many laps as you can. Races are well designed and interesting with lots of short cuts and bonus areas to find. The game was on my list of shortest games I owned too. I'm already past the half way mark in the game. There's an online mode too though, but it may not be active anymore. I'll check tomorrow. And speaking of Cars:
I saw this Porsche 911 Turbo today. Very sweet.
I'm chasing achievements for fun right now. I'm looking at the leaderboards of Xbox friends. Phantasystar77 is number one and I'm ranked three for the month so far. I'm going to try and catch him if I can.
The more I play the Game & Watch games the more I like them. I saw a few screenshots from G&W3 and got interested. Maybe next month I'll get G&W2. Do you know how to unlock the other games?
Cars 2 is very good. It's simple but the controls and track designs are excellent. Really solid game. I'm finding myself replaying levels for gold medals now.
It's actually fun and well made. I download these things not expecting much but sometimes I'm surprised, like this time. Plus it's free.
I like a racing game as long as the controls are good. I'm kind of picky on that point. Racing can be very frustrating otherwise.
