Finished with Brave

I managed to get every achievement but one in the game. That last one is for beating the game on the hardest difficulty. I think you only have to beat the final level at that difficulty, but I had a hard enough time beating it on medium. I did try it anyway. Even with all the upgrades, I got stuck in a room just before the final battle where you get mobbed by a dozen giant rock trolls. Not enough room and too much damage taken. It felt impossible. Fun game though. I enjoyed it's Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance style gameplay. Merida must have a wagon train of arrows following her. I probably shot them in the 10s of thousands.

I got Neir Automata from the library for next week, although I kind of want to stick with my short games. I'll boot it up and give it a try. I'll know pretty quickly if I'll like it or not.

Saturday I'm going the the Greater Philadelphia Comic Con with Mark. He's got some celebrity friends there like Claudia Christian (Babylon 5) and Bob Camp (animator for Ren & Stimpy and not the guy of controversy right now. That's John K). Should be interesting.

It's going to be nerve wracking for me. I'll have to meet Mark's celebrity friends I've never talked to before. Usually I just observe from a safe distance, ha ha. I'm hoping there are video games there. I didn't realize it was a comic con. I thought it was the Retro Con Mark and I went to last year.

It turned out ok. I managed to blabber a little bit. Val Kilmer was there but he was behind a curtain the whole time and every time he left it I missed him because he was wearing a hoodie. Turns out, Claudia told me, he's got throat cancer that makes his face puff up a bit and he doesn't want that image to get out. Makes sense.

I met one of the people who helped create Ren and Stimpy at a anime and cartoon convention a long time ago. It wasn't John K. or Bob Camp, though. He drew me a picture of Stimpy as Dr. Stupid.

Neat. Mark met Bob Camp on saturday and he went off about John K. I was afraid to say anything about John K but he volunteered his own rant about him. It's terrible that Ren & Stimpy have to be associated with that controversy. Mark and I use Ren & Stimpy quotes all the time while gaming to this day.
