I'm taking a few moments before my test in Interpersonal Communication class to write this blog about last night's gaming. I'm revisiting my GBA collection in order to thin the herd, playing some casual games and getting surprised that I could like an online sports game.

Klonoa: Empire of Dreams: Fantastic platformer for the GBA. I played it on my GameCube Game Boy Player. It has rich colors and interesting puzzle/platforming. You can grab things and move them to help you navigate the levels. Then there are bonus levels where you ride a snowboard (I think) Sonic style. I dug it for a good long time until I hit my platforming tolerance. I'm working on my stamina in these types of games. A couple of hours is all I've got so far.

Scrabble and Wheel of Fortune: Mark and I played some Wheel of Fortune but I really hate this game. How can you give a category like "thing". How vague is that! Then I played some Scrabble to get the 5 wins in Quick Play achievement. You play either local multiplayer or AI. I chose AI. I tried to play a hard AI but they know all sorts of crazy words I never heard of. It's educational to watch them but when you are behind by over a hundred points, you don't want to play anymore.

Rocket League: I decided I was just going to download each new game added to Game Pass like as if they were demos to try them out. I was going back to Warhammer Vermicide but it needed an update so I went to Rocket League that was already installed. Oh wow. I got pretty hooked on it. Mark was watching me and got hooked too. He bought it. I played a bunch of 3vs3 matches online in casual play. Boy people have the game mechanics down in this. You would think manipulating a ball with cars that have rocket boosters would be tough but the controls actually allow you a fair bit of control, if you know how to use them. I was still getting used to it so I played defense most of the time, keeping the ball in the other end for the pros to set up scoring. Man, this was fun. Mark installed the game only by the end of the night, so today we'll get to play online and do some 1v1. I can't wait.

I don't think I've ever played the GBA Klonoa but I really liked the Wii game. If they're the similar I need to check it out.

I like Rocket League. I didn't invest a lot of time into it, but I do have it on multiple devices and it is one of those games that you can pick up and play if you have a couple of minutes of free time.

I played that Klonoa Wii game. I don't have it anymore apparently though.

Rocket League is going to be that go-to break game for me. I've really go to get back to Banner Saga 2. BS3 just dropped.

I bought Rocket League on Switch a while back during a sale but STILL haven't played it. I'm lame. It seems right up my alley though, I like bizarre sports games.

The matches are short too. 5 minutes at a time.

I think I saw Klonoa the other day when I buying those last couple of games. I want to say it was in the box too.

It's very worth it if you're into puzzle/platformers. I'm not and I still loved it. I just have the lose GBA cart, but I have Klonoa 2 on PS2 complete.

Klonoa is one of my favorite 2-D platform series ever.  They're pretty easy, especially the GBA ones, so you should be able to do it if you keep at it.  I know you can do it!  The first one on the PSOne is briliant if you ever get a chance to play it.

It was fairly easy. I finished the second world when I stopped. I love the graphics, the player character, and even the story in Empire of Dreams. I have Klonoa 2 on PS2. I don't have the first one.

I love trivia games and it's easier now to understand why college students love that damn Kahoot! game so much.

Um. Kahoot looks interesting. Maybe better than Khan University that I've used a few times.
