The game tallies up scores for each character and for each microgame when you play them seperately. Glad you got to play it. The NES freak is 9-Volt. He's my favorite, too.

I played this GBA game on my DSLite on breaks before work the last two days. What a creative game.
It's just what it's titled as, a collection of mini games, but all set as challenges for each of a half dozen or more characters as well as Wario. Each character has a problem you have to solve by playing the minigames. One is being chased by cops and each mini game you beat elliminates one cop car. Another clears a car windshield of rain. I liked the one that flushes a toilet. That's a good giggle.
The mini games are pretty simple but interesting and sometimes tricky, at least the first time you play them because sometimes you don't know exactly what to do and there's a very short time limit. I liked the character whose mini games were all taken from NES games. The others are sometimes original, there's a pick the nose one that's funny, or inspired from old arcade games like Space Harrier. I saw one that looked exactly like Activision's Tennis for the Atari 2600. You play mini games until you either lose four lives or get to the boss, which is a special, slightly longer mini game.
I don't know if there's really a story involved. I couldn't tell but there's cut scenes for every character and a city that they all live in. You can also play all the mini games seperately on another tab. I wonder if the game records score or it there is some metagame going on. I couldn't tell. I'd like it if the scores added up to something or unlocked something. Someone like Cary who's probably played this more could tell me.
Anyway, fun game.
