I finished two books: America 1900: The Turning Point and Decades of the 20th Century: 1900s. Among other things, they gave me an idea for a video game to play.
America 1900 is a great book based on the documentary series American Experience. It’s organized chronologically taking you through the year 1900 and many key events. It covers every series aspect of the times and sheds some light on today, because many of the issues really haven’t changed that much like immigration, racism, and imperialism. I was glued to the book ‘til I’d finished it.
Decades of the 20th Century is a series I found out about shelving books at the library. I caught it out of the corner of my eye in the stacks. Each book covers a decade of the 20th century outlining the major events, discoveries and achievements of each year. I was thrilled because I can now use this series for most of the year. The books are fairly short, so I ripped through this first one and added some important things in my notes.
One of them was about the first zeppelin flight. I remembered a game where I was fighting on a zeppelin, The Order 1886 (PS4 exclusive). I think there were anarchists in that game too, another subject I read about. So, I picked up that game to play again. I got stuck on that airship the first time I played it. I remember that otherwise it had great graphics and stellar voicework. I set up my PS4 again and will hopefully get to it by the end of the month.
