No new quests, so I dove further into the Primitive Jungle. I fought some giant scorpions and mapped most of level 2 before a soldier gave me the message I was wanted at HQ. So, I headed back, slowly. 

I found some giant scorpions on level 2 of the Primitive Jungle. They seemed immune to poison or binding but vulnerable to fire. So, I fried ‘em up. Yes, they poisoned me the first time I encountered one, but the effect didn’t last after the battle, which went quick, so I was fine.

Then a soldier appeared and told me I was wanted by HQ. I blew him off and kept exploring. I fought some electric saber-toothed tigers and walking coconut barfing trees until that soldier showed up again. This time he was insistent and wouldn’t let me go any further. So, I reluctantly walked back after I had harvested the last piece of wood I needed for a minor quest given to me yesterday.

I turned in the quest to the bar and then talked to some new patrons, one of whom told me about how to get a special item from those walking, barfing trees. Then I went to the shop to sell materials and upgrade and buy new equipment. Finally, I slept at the Inn run by the lady who wears a cat.

I like to keep HQ waiting. It let’s them know who’s really in charge. I'll visit them tomorrow to see what mission they’ve got for me.
