Skylanders Comics

A few weeks ago, while I was randomly looking for things in my library's catalog during work - something I do frequently when things aren't hectic - I came across Skylanders comics collections. I didn't even know there were comics for this game series. Well, I had to start reading them, didn't I, and I have at about 1 per week since then.
I only wish I had known when they were out as single issues because this cover of issue 1 from IDW is pretty cool. I suppose, if I ever have expendable cash again, and visit a comic shop, I might pick up back issues just to have those covers.
So, of what I've read of the collections (about half), most are pretty kid oriented, as you would expect, but a few of the stories were interesting. The last one I read was The Return of the Dragon King, a story that was used for the TV show but in a different way. The undead dragon king seems to link the Skylanders world with the previous one in the Spyro games; at least, that's what it seems to me, but I'll find out for sure when I try out the Spyro Reignited Trilogy video game later this week.
The Dragon King rises to attack Skylanders Academy with the help of a fairy who steals key Skylanders' powers. As usual, the Skylanders have to find a way to work as a team to defeat this mighty foe. The whole teamwork thing is a bit overplayed in most of the Skylanders comic stories. I guess that's the main theme of childhood education right now. I was never a team player in school, although, in my work life I've become that a bit more.
Anyway, here's the full list of comic collections I'm working through:
Trap Masters not read
Kaos Trap not read
Champions read
Return of Dragon King read
Light in the Dark read
Superchargers not read
Secret Agent Secrets read
Dive, Dive Dive not read
Spyro & Friends read
