I've been playing DQ Builders 2 a lot these last few days. It's a lot of fun but the frequent Monster raids on the farm (felt like every 10 minutes) and the ghost who shows up at night if you stay up instead of sleeping can be frustrating. I don't know how many times I've had to rebuild my front wall.
B2, Disney Afternoon Collection, DQB2 and Meet the Robinsons

I played a bunch of stuff today.
I started with the 360 version of Borderlands 2. I played as my assassin class, level 50 character from a save way back in 2014. I finished up all challenges except the Jenkins one. Then I went to finish the game on True Vault Hunter difficulty (2nd playthrough) and got really frustrated and stopped. Sometimes this game really bugs me. For some reason my shield wasn't holding up against tougher foes and yet, I was fighting enemies several levels below my own. At level 50 on 2nd playthrough, I'm a little bit over powered, but maybe I made an wrong evaluation of some gear. There are so many stats. I'm just not up to it right now. Maybe tomorrow.
Then I played some games from Disney Afternoon Collection, which I bought today for $5 on a sale. Six games. Not bad. I played Darkwing Duck and liked it but platformers really annoy me quickly. Then i played Talespin and wanted to love this side-scrolling shoot-'em-up but didn't like the controls much. It's a very good collection, though, with lots of new modes to play for these old NES games.
Then I played the demo for Dragon Quest Builders 2 on PS4. A little slow to start, but it got really fun once I got to the island and started building stuff. The game is just like Minecraft but much more directed. You're given clear missions to teach you basic mechanics. When you're ready to travel to other islands, the demo ends. I'm looking forward to playing the full game someday.
Then I started Meet the Robinsons and stayed with it for quite a while, although, I didn't quite beat it. It's probably a five hour game; I'm guessing. It's by Avalanche Software. They seem to specialize in licenced games, and I feel they've made some decent ones, like the Cars games, Bolt, Toy Story 3, and Disney Infinity 2 and 3. Meet the Robinsons is pretty good. You play in third-person and wield a few high tech tools that let you digital destruct (digistruct) objects for parts to give you upgrades, shock or blast enemies and scan the environment for clues and information. All the mechanics work pretty well. Enemy lock-on is helpful and environmental puzzles are interesting and challenging enough but not too much. There are also segments where you race around tracks inside a ball of energy. It feels like Marble Madness or probably what Super Monkey Ball was, although, I never played that game. It's good.
I'll probably finish up Meet the Robinsons tomorrow unless my friend Mark is willing to join me in 360 Borderlands 2. I just want to get his level 64 character in there and run wild and overpowered over the remaining achievements. I can't stand these loot dilemmas anymore.
