So ... how does the 360 version compare to the newer one?

Yes, I'm now playing the unenhanced 360 version of B2 on my XBO after beating the Handoms Collection version to 100%. Why? Because I left about 10 achievements unfinished from way back in 2014, when I last played it. My progress has been slow because these achievements are labor intensive. I've been having fun with it and also having serious frustrations and fatigue.
It turns out my character of choice from 2014 was the assassin class, the sniper, Zero. He was level 50 when I left him. I decided, for complex reasons, to play my level 6 Gunzerker character instead. One reason was that I needed the gunzerk-for-90-seconds achievement, and another was that, to get the rare robot Jenkins to show up on Zero's save, I'd have to beat the game on True Vault Hunter to unlock Ultimate Vault Hunter and then progress through the game on that highest of difficulty until I got to the spot with Jenkins (you need to be on a specific uncompleted mission). It would have been more grueling than sticking with my low level Gunzerker. I've been watching my friend Mark play Ultimate Vault Hunter on the XBO version of the game. It's been really tough for him - great drops, but tough gameplay.
So I played nearly the whole game - minus the DLC - with my Gunzerker on Normal difficulty. He's now level 33. I literally left him at the entrance to the final boss the other day. I got the gunzerking achievment and the Donkey Mong one. I also killed Jenkins, the toughest of the challenges. It's crazy that you have to take a certain mission (Doctor's Orders from Tanis), only partially complete it and then open specific crates in a spefici area to get the maximun number of randomly appearing robots and loot midgets to give yourself the best chance to get Jenkins. Any other way will take you so darn long it's not worth it.
For the challenges achievement, I've been dual wielding shotguns to complete the challenges for that weapon. It's always the toughest one for me because I don't use shotguns much. I like bullet hoses like SMGs, assault rifles and pistols (oh, also sniper rifles). Additionally I have to get point-blank kills, which is problematical when you're getting shot up like crazy. I usually shoot from a health distance. So I've been getting knocked down alot, which is, I guess, ok because it fufills another set of challenges.
I completed the challenges for shields too, another one that is usually tricky for me because I usually use only a turtle or nova shield. I had to use the amplify and spike shields to get the challenges for them. Once got, I quickly went back to my favorite nova shield.
So what's next? I have to finish the last of the challenges (not too hard) and then complete all missions in the main game and DLC. I've completed all but three missions in the main game. One is easy. I just have to wait for a random drop to happen. Another is just beating the final boss, which should be fine since I'm level 33. Finally I'll need to beat a RAID boss (I think it's Terramorphius).
Now that is going to be interesting. I'm not sure I can beat that thing at level 33 on my own. I'd call in Mark to help but he lost his high level character by not uploading him to the cloud on his 360, and he's not into leveling a new character; although. he does have a level 19 Gunzerker. . . So darn me, I'm going to have to go it alone. I may have to move on to the DLC and come back when I'm level 50 or so. I guess that's cool, but it's so much time. I'd like to dig into Pre-Sequel again before B3 comes out. I hope i can get to it by Sept 19th.
