I enjoy adventure games as well, but I also hate getting stuck in them. They brought me a lot of pleasure when I was young though so I'll always have a fondness for them. I have a bunch in my Steam wishlist, including old classics like Monkey Island and Indiana Jones that I never played but want to.
Stuck in Puzzles Again

I got stuck in two puzzle games today, Inside (again) and Book of Unwritten Tales 2. I always hope for great things from adventure games but usually they drive me a little crazy. The problems I come across in these games occupy my mind later on. I think I figured out what I need in Book of Unwritten Tales 2 but I'm still clueless in a problem with Inside. What to do.
Inside got me stuck in an area where you have to collect 19 zombies on a pressure plate. There are three levels connected by an elevator. I got 16 of these guys on the lowest level pushing a train car to a spot that allows me access to a wall that's boarded up. I can't break the boards and I can't figure out how to bring any of the zombies to that spot. Later, I thought of one thing to try. Maybe I can lift one of the boards instead of pulling them apart. I'll have to try it tomorrow.
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is a point-and-click adventure game. Very beautiful graphics and interesting things to click and learn about. I think the writting in very good. I figured out how to get the princess out of her locked room, make a potion and talk to a magic mirror but now I'm stuck trying to leave the palace. Later I thought about it and I think I have a solution in mind. I'll have to reinstall the game, though, because I deleted it in frustration. I got to stop doing that.
