Wait, Apex Legends is by the Titanfall people? I am way more interested now.

I discovered what I did wrong in Wolfrenstein Younblood, but I had put the game away already. So I jumped into We Happy Few on Game Pass. Then I got annoyed and switched to Apex Legends but got kicked out for network problems. Finally i tried Battle Chasers: Nightwar and got hooked.
We Happy Few: So much like Bioshock but without the shooting. It's more about stealth and melee fighting. I got to the military base and had trouble finding the key I needed. I started tripping alarms and things got crazy. I think it's funny you can sit in any chair, pull up a newspaper, and be totally concealed. I also hid under beds. This key still eluded me even with the ease of which I could hide. I wanted to search more without being bothered with guards. So I put the game down for now.
I like the theme of taking a happy pill to keep from remembering why Britain was under German rule.
Apex Legends: My first attempt at Battle Royale. I couldn't get through the tutorial without getting kicked from the server. I'm not sure what was going wrong there. But even from the little I played I could tell the gameplay was great. Titanfall creators really know gameplay. I try it again another time.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar: I was thinking about Wizardry and started a download of the Bard's Tale 1-3 remasters. In the meantime I tried Battle Chasers and was delighted to see it was also turn-based. It's a lot like Diablo if it had turn-based battles. The visuals are colorful and rich reminding me a bit of Vanillaware games like Odin Sphere and Dragon's Crown. The gameplay is streamlined but becomes more nuonced as more abilities are aquired. I'm really enjoying it.
That's a day.
