Set Up My Wii-U Finally

I finally got my Wii-U up and running at home. I've been playing in very short bursts here and there. I'm really enjoying it. The first night I left it on and the menu music put me to sleep. I think it auto shut down after a while.

I played several areas in Yoshi's Wooly World. The game is so colorful, cute and full of inventive gameplay. I put my blue Yoshi amiibo in the game and played a level with two Yoshis. It was a bit chaotic. True co-op would be much better, I think. But I was able to change the default green Yoshi to my blue one for solo play. I'm about three levels into the game and beat the first boss. What is it about yarn? Now I want to make somethng out it.

On the away side (gaming at my friend's place) Mark and I are still playing Borderlands 3. We beat up the Halloween boss several times, solved the pumpkin puzzle and turned on Mayhem mode 1 for a greater challenge and more loot. The loot difference was quickly obvious. Most of the loot dropped was of a higher blue rarity rather than common green. I was able to upgrade several weapons and some of my gear. I think Mark and I are going to run the whole game again on Mayhem 1 for more loot. That would be, I think, my fourth playthrough.

Any Halloween plans? I don't. I've got an interview tomorrow and that's all I can think about, but I will probably game with my friend Mark that day after work.

Oh, just a data entry thing for a temp agency. I gotta drive to Delaware for it Gives me nerves. Hopefully I'll get some full time work out of it. I love the library but it's not sustainable long term.

Yea, if I could right now I'd start building a collection. Right now I have Zelda Wind Waker HD, Tank Tank, Yoshi's Wooly World, Pikmin 3 and Skylanders Superchargers.

Of course, I still have my Wii games to go through.

I really liked the Wii U. Shame it bombed and everyone bashes it. I was very happy with it myself. It was only after the Wii U 'died' that I got a PS4, and even then I only got a PS4 because of a Black Friday sale.

Yoshi's Woolly World is so good. It's one of the best Yoshi games to come out in a long time. Love the music, too. If you have any other amiibo figures, try them out! You may get some new patterns for your Yoshi!

I'm late but good luck with the interview!

I never tried the Wii-U, I was in the crowd of folks who thought it was just a Wii with a tablet. Glad youre enjoying it.

I have my Wii U set up in my office along with an Xbox 360 and my minis(NES,SNES and C64)

I haven't used it much in a while but I have a lot of games still to play on it. Switch takes up all my time.

I'm finding it hard to find time to play my Wii-U, but when I do it's very satisfying.
