Maybe I'll get Mad Max as another Xmas present for my brother. I know he wants the new a Star Wars game.

I'm trying a lot of Game Pass games lately and a few I've gotten on black Friday sales on Xbox.
Kingdome Hearts III demo: I finished this from yesterday. I like it fine. What stood out was the special and team attacks. They get really crazy like spawning a roller coaster or a giant sailing ship that you can attack foes with. Another one joined hands with all your team members and shot fireworks out in every direction. Very cool. I’m not all that interested in the story and characters though. At least the way they’re presented here. I like my Disney dark like Epic Mickey or spacy like Duck Dodgers, and I like my Final Fantasy turn-based. I don’t know though. If it ever came fully to Game Pass, I might give the rest of the game a shot.
Remnant: From the Ashes: Game Pass game. It’s basically Dark Souls in a different setting. I liked it a lot until an enemy came at me with seemingly invincible defense. I had no chance and it killed me. I don’t like unfair enemies you have to die to several times before you figure them out. Very solid game otherwise.
Vambrace: Cold Soul: Game Pass game. It reminds me of a game like Darkest Dungeon: 2D, great art design, a grim story, turn-based combat, manage four characters in your party. If forgot that if you let your vigor decline to zero, you get knocked out and have to restart at the town. It pissed me off to lose so much adventuring time, so I stopped playing.
Road Rage: Bought for $5. This tries to present Road Rash style gameplay in a small open city environment. You can follow story missions given to you on your cell phone and engage in various challenges around the city like races, elimination races, takedown races and stunts. The controls are a little bit sloppy and the combat is pretty terrible. You can only attack foes when they are a specific distance from you. I couldn’t prepare an attack and then swoop in for the kill like in Road Redemption. I had to wait and, usually, they’d get me first. So I just stayed away from them and raced for speed, and I usually won that way. The game is silly easy. My favorite part was tricking out my bike with loud colors and crazy exhaust pipes. The oversensitive controls got to me after a while and I road rage quit.
Age of Wonders Planetfall: Game Pass Game. 15 minutes into it I’d had enough because it was way too complex an RTS. I was not in the mood to pick through dense menus of stats.
Mad Max: Got this for $5 on a sale. Been wanting to play it for a long time now. After several hours into it, I’m hooked. I love the Mad Max universe so much. Luckily the game’s car combat is great. The melee fighting is just like Batman Arkham games and works great too. There are collectibles, a crazy mechanic side-kick, and excellent car engine sounds. The world is a giant sand pit full of junk and makeshift bases. Sand storms rip through the area from time to time obscuring vision and hitting you with debree. It’s great. I’m in for the long haul on this one.
