The Walking Dead game is pretty great, much better than the show, but it is sort of a different kind of gaming experience than most. It's more of an interactive movie.
Four Games Played

What I played on my relevancy list, and Game Pass, was Walking Dead Seaon 1 and Yooka Laylee. Then I bought this game on sale for $5 called Gas Guzzlers Extreme. Both Mark and I were playing it and enjoying it. Then I cooled down with a few levels of Gnome's Garden 2.
Walking Dead Season 1: I didn't finish it because I got stuck trying to save someone at a Motel, but I enjoyed what I played. It's very well written but gameplay is pretty minimal. Sometimes I'm ok with that, but not today. Part of it too, is that I'm not much into the TV show. This game is like a point-and-click adventure with just the slightest amount of exploration and interaction. So, I was kind of bored with it. When I got stuck, I moved on.
Yooka Laylee: I got a little farther than I did the first time. I beat that race in the first area and expanded the location. Then I got stuck on a platforming thing. A wooden platform spins and you have to jump at the right time, but it seemed too fast. I think I'm supposed to throw my little buddy at a target to stop it, but I hadn't been shown how to do that yet and pushing all the buttons didn't do anything. I'm really not into platforming, especially 3D platforming, but the game is good.
Gas Guzzlers Extreme: I got this on sale for $5. It looked like a car battle game similar to Burnout or Destruction Derby. I was worried it would be a budget title with terrible controls but it wasn't. Granted, it is a budget title, but it looks good and the driving controls are solid. It's a lot of fun and Mark and I are plowing through it. There are a lot of races and race types. You can customize your cars too. The AI isn't bad either. It's basically fair and fun. It also reminds me of an old Xbox game called Mayhem 3D. Gas Guzzlers has weapons though.
Gnome's Garden 2: I played a couple new levels of this casual resource management sim. I still can't see the time meter. I'm not sure why. The screen seems complete and not cropped. I get 3 stars every other level. I feel like, without a visible meter to show my progress towards 3 stars, I don't want to replay 2 star levels, but I might. It's fun and totally chill.
