I've decided to keep my old lists and do this thing where I take in one classic from four media types every month. It's a thing to do, and fun. So here are the media for March I'm focusing on.

Game: Bioshock
Book: Homer's Odyssey
Music: Wagner's Ring Cycle of operas
Film: Fantasia

I'll get back into these and then it's whatever I feel like after that.

I'm listening to Wagner on vinyl right now! But Tristan und Isolde.

I like all his stuff. I learned about him through the movie Excalibur which used music from Gotterdamerung and Parcival. But I've obsessively listened to all Wagner's stuff. Oh yeah, Tristan and Isolde was also used in Excalibur. I can never find a soundtrack for that movie though, so I made one myself with all those tracks plus Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.

Parsifal is good. I have that opera on Blu-ray.

The bit from Parsival used in Excalibur and the theme taken from Sigfried's funeral march are my favorites.

Fantasia is one of my favorite Disney movies.  Sorcerer Mickey is one of my top five favorite Disney characters, right on up there with Chip N Dale, Scrooge McDuck, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and Wreck-It Ralph.

Me too, Sorcerer Mickey was my favorite Disney Infinity figure.

I'm excited to see it again even if I read that Stravinsky didn't think much of their interpretation of his Rite of Spring (or was it Firebird now, it's been a while).

It was Rite of Spring.

Right. I just watched up to the intermission the other night. I'm going to watch the rest of it tonight.

Wherever I'm at in Bioshock has a really bloody corpse hung up next to the word "Smuggler."

I don't know much about what's past that, cause I kept dying.

Yeah, it's kind of tough I've discovered. I wasn't too thrilled to replay all of it once I'd gotten a few hours into it again. I do, however, want to approach it in a very silly way like play it with nothing but the shock power, like as if Palpatine got loose in there.
