I have a routine now: check sales, chase rewards points quests, EDF. So details. . .

No new purchases today (or rather yesterday).

Rewards Points Quests: There are the weekly challenges, daily achievement reward and then Game Pass Quests. I do them in that order. This week's Game Pass Quests have me do the usual: boot up the Game Pass phone app, download games from it, and play a Game Pass Game. After that there are more specific game challenges both weekly and monthly. For weekly there was one for the game Tekken 7 and one for Final Fantasy XV. I started both downloads, but you know how long those take. So I went after a monthly challenge getting barrel kills in Doom (2016).

Doom 2016: Boy this game plays fast as heck. It makes Borderlands look like a slow mo old man with a walker (which is what I feel like lately). I played some arcade levels. These are just the campaign levels with point goals. I didn't make any headway because I was focusing on barrel kills. So I played the campaign a while and got the 50 barrel kills. Darn I'm excited for Doom Eternal. Don't know how I'm going to get it, but my library will have it. I'd pull an employee privilege and get to the top of the hold list but I'm a gentlemen and wait in line like everybody else.

Still waiting for Tekken 7. I noticed Mark was ahead on my on the achievement leaderboards and so chose an easy achievement game, TellTale's Batman: The Enemy Within. Although I don't like this strange alternate universe where Batman's father is a criminal and Joker is Bruce Wayne's friend, the story is really well told and the "game" mostly fun. I'm glad, at least, there wasn't any slow down or frame rate drops like in other TellTale games I've played. I played episode one and switched games. I think I got about 200 achievement points for episode one.

EDF 2025: I'm almost to level 80 with all my characters on normal difficulty. I gained one more hardest difficulty level with my Ranger and got a new weapon but it was a support device that heals your troops and vehicles which is totally useless for me. I got to my first of four hard difficulty levels I'm missing for my Ranger. I came so close to beating it several times but just couldn't keep my health up for the final waves of insects. Those darn spiders are the most unfair annoyances. The game has 89 levels so I'm going to make the push to finish it on normal for my Wingdiver, Air Raider and Fenser later today. Then i might try a few more levels with my Ranger to see if I can get a new weapon, and try and get Mark to play multiplayer with me one more time, then I'm done for now. I'll go finish EDF 4.1 on my PS4 with my Ranger on Normal and see how that's different and then move on.

Well, that's a game day. Onward. . .

I want to go back and finish Final Fantasy XV. It's not the best ff, but I liked it.

I tried to download that sucker in a reasonable time this weekend but it wouldn't. It was litterally taking days.

I restarted it thinking I'd like to play the story again but I've gotten every achievement expect multiplayer ones already. Without something to shoot for, I kind of lost interest.

I fought a rew rounds in Tekken 7 today but I'm not really into it. I liked the way the main character kicks away missiles in one of the cutscenes though. That was funny.
