Space Cadet is a good descriptor of me at home.
Nerdy Stuff Done Today

I've done my nerd duty and played some video games and watched some anime.
Ren & Stimpy: Space Cadet Adventures (Game Boy): I got this cart recently and plugged it into my GBA SP. Even with my glasses, I had some trouble reading the text and avoiding enemies in this adventure game. Graphics looked great though.
The story is Ren & Stimpy are fling a space ship when Ren decides to go on a dangerous space walk. He gets separated from the ship and Stimpy has to save him. This is where you come in. You take control of Stimpy and walk through the ship to get to the cargo hold (why I don't know because I could barely see the text). Along the way there is trash and broken machinery that spits out gas clouds (at least that is what it looked like on that tiny screen). You avoid everything by jumping.
I decided to wait until I set up my Gamecube's Game Boy Player again to really get into this game. I loved the space madness tracks on Ren & Stimpy's album and the TV episode, so I want to see what they did with this idea in the game.
Anime: New Dominion Tank Police (1993): Tanks! I wanted to see it for that and because the future world was described as being so poluted and plague ridden that people had to wear breathing filters. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? But I was further surprised in the first episode to see it was also about our current conflict, police brutality. The first ten minutes are almost a copy of recent news with less morbidity. The main character is a firey female cop who commands a tiny police tank and is very heavy handed in the field. She is soon chewed out by her boss, and the poeple are up in arms about it. Her and a reporter argue back and forth over the role of the police. But soon this argument is put aside as a threat appears in a spider-like super tank. A battle ensues followed by the girl's defeat of the menace. End episode one.
I like the tank designs in this anime. I might watch more to see how the police vs the people turns out, but maybe not. It was fine, just not amazing.
Peggle 2: I finished the main game and am now working on all the trial levels. There are two sets of DLC with new hosts, levels, and cosmetic upgrades which I'll get later. They are cheap at $2 each. I also tried to get an online Peggle Party going but no one could be found. I found a match easily in Peggle 1, what gives? Mark is playing the game now too, so hopefully we'll play against each other sometime.
Time to get back to work this coming week.
