I was very frustrated after this day of gaming and even turned off my recurring payments to my Xbox account, thinking I was going to turn casual and forget about gaming for the most part. Well, I'm back in the groove and heading out for another game day very soon. Here's what went down yesterday.

Namco Museum Vol. 1 & 2: I saw these on the new releases today. Sky Kid is on Vol. 1. I want both because "collections". I like those. They're $20 each. I will wait for a sale or the accumulation of enough rewards points to make them half price.

Ashes Cricket: I tried this for rewards points. I got the rewards for just doing the tutorial. I stopped when I couldn't change the speed of my pitch. I did what they said to do but it didn't work. I'd rather play baseball, but it was interesting to see how the game is played. Running back and forth from two wickets? Bah.

Disneyland Adventures: I tried that one boa ting section three times and got pelted by Brer Fox every time. It's really hard. I'm done with this for now.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service: Should be called Totally Unreliable Delivery Service. Maybe it's purposely hard to manage to encourage cooperation in mutliplayer? You grab with each arm using the triggers and use the bumber buttons to lift. Now, what fingers do I have left to jump? My thumbs are also now very unstable on the sticks making movement jerky and inaccurate. It's a funny game though. I jumped into multiplayer and got a few deliveries done despite players grabbing me and not letting go. I just took them for a drag in my truck. That'll teach 'em.

Descenders: For rewards points again, but I like it. Downhill bike racing/stunts. I want a real bike so badly right now. However, I couldn't get my sessions to register with the Game Pass Quest list. I must've played 6 long sessions with no result. Well, it was fun anyway. You play online too and other players are always wizzing past you. Neat!

Battle Chasers Nightwar: I got further than ever before until three giant spiders decided enough was enough and wrecked me with a unreasonable amount of damage. I dont' think I was out of my league, so maybe there's a problem with pacing in this game? I should've held my own at level 11-13 in my crew. Whatever. I'm frustrated, so will take a break.

Super Lucky's Tale: Feels a lot like Skylanders to me in design. More jumping though. I was enjoying it until I went into a wrong door and found myself having to repeat an entire level all over again without being able to return. What's with that?! I didn't continue.

Doom 3: I've always disliked this game because of it's dark environments. At thetime, circa 2006, showing off your lighting effects was a big deal in games. But it is not fun strainging to see in an enclosed Martian base with a tiny flashlight that shuts off every minute to regard it's batteries. I do like shooting stuff though, so I may continue and see if I can finally beat this, the only Doom game I haven't beaten.

Looked up whether there was a game called Doom that was a parody of Doom and there is! Except there isn't! Cause Gloom isn't a parody, it's just a clone for the Amiga. Boo.

That Wisdom Tree game, what was it, Noah's Ark or something, was a Doom clone. Should have been a parody. You'd barely have to change anything.

I'm just still impressed by the Doom clone made for Chex cereal. Now that's 90s!

That is the best free cereal toy I've ever received.

I got the Namco Museum Archives vol. 1 and 2.  I should've waited for a sale, but I have a weakness for classic Namco stuff.  Vol. 1 has an 8-bit demake of Pac-Man Championship Edition, which is cool.  And vol. 2 has FREAKING MAPPYLAND!  I loved that NES game.  I'll write a blog about both volumes sometime in July.

I reviewed Totally Reliable Delivery Service.  It wasn't very good on mobile.

I liked New Super Lucky's Tale on Switch.

I really want those Namco Collections, and will get them eventually and play everything.

Totally Reliable. . . is a good idea, but the controls are so difficult. I tried to put a barrel on a helicopter for one delivery and just crashed every time. Terrible.

Super Lucky's Tale seems very good. I just wasn't in the mood to replay things that day.

Why oh why are Disney games so hard??

Disneyland Adventures was mostly not hard at all except for a few of the attractions and finding all the hidden mickeys. I had a real problem with Matterhorn Bobsleds but finally got all all the secrets. Some of the hidden Mickeys were so crazy that I had to use a walkthrough video. I had 88% of the game done with no help or trouble at all though.
