Farm for Cheesecake

Just Farm Together today.

My farm is beginning to look like a real one. My tracks of cultivated land are very long and take a minute or two to go from one end to the other either watering or planting. I've taken special notice of the effects of watering and it definitly reduces growth time sometimes by half. So it's well worth the work.

I'm following the quests as they pop up but I'm also doing some things on my own like cooking in my tree house. In real life, I've been cooking a lot for myself and really getting into it; so, I'm doing it in the game as well. I wanted to make a cheesecake but didn't have any cheese. I needed to build a  cheese processing stall and devilver a lot of milk to it. I started a coral of cows and discovered they are expensive and cost a lot to maintain, so it's slow going, but I've been building the herd up, and I'm almost finished with stage two of the cooking.

I also built a Jam Stall and a Honey Stall both of which give you ribbons for raw materials. Ribbons are used to buy very important things in the game like sprinklers and the new gas station I got today. Running out of fuel for my tractor was really getting on my nerves, but now I can plow and water for a good long time.

My friend Mark is also playing the game. He's ahead of me in most ways but sometimes I unlock something he hasn't because I've grown certain crops. Crops level up the more you grow them and then unlock related crops. Like, I grew a lot of a certain type of mushrooom, and now I have a second type to plant.

It's a lot of fun and a little bit addictive.

Yeah, I've seen your cooking on facebook. Cool, man! I wish I could cook more. Maybe someday. Kind of hard to come up with a lot of reasons to do so now, since my mom cooks.

What do you use for fuel for your tractor.

Cooking for yourself is so satisfying. It tastes better than anything else.

Good question. I suppose it's dirty old fossil fuel since the pumps say "gas". There isn't any exhaust on the tractors though. They should've done it with electric and made crazy looking steam punk tractors with tesla coils and van der graaf generators.

If you really like Farm Together, you may want to check out Stardew Valley or one of the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games.

I played a little bit of Stardew Valley. i forget why I didn't stick with it. I'd love to try a Harvest Moon game.
