Exactly how it is. I'm in my game alone but my friend is in the same room playing it too on his own system. It's the strange little way we game - evolved over decades to be what it is. My friend is trying to keep ahead of me for bragging rights in Farm Together. I'm just doing my thing, trying to make it look good.
Microsoft Solitaire Collection
The power went out today at my friend's place and so we sat around thinking about what we could play. I started downloading Microsoft Solitaire Collection on my phone, and he got out an old Mattel Electronics Baseball handheld we both used to play back in '78.
The MS Solitaire Collection was free-to-play, and I'm hoping it has achievements. I didn't get to play it, though, because the download stalled for some reason, and I switched to youtube to watch half of the Microsoft Presentation that happened a few days ago. I saw gameplay of Halo Infinite, a new Breath-of-the-WIld-like Rare survival RPG, several other new survival action games (seems to be the thing these days) and the new DLC for Outer Worlds which looks great. It's full of 50s scifi aesthetic and lots of robots. My my, I want to get back into that game.
Cluster Truck
I played this strange game where you platform jump across the tops of moving semi tractor trailers again for rewards points. It's fine, just not my thing. I wanted to download Red Dead Redemption 2 for another weekly quest, but I know the game is almost 100 GB and will not install over the weekend.
Farm Together
The bulk of my gaming was Farm Together. My fields are getting seriously massive. I built the teleporter to get around and check up on my one farm hand I put in a field to see how he works. He basically waters and harvests for you within a fairly large area. You have to pay him in tickets, though, which I was getting from cooking food. I think he's going to come in very handy.
I had a lot of quests going at once today. Some of them are just a waiting game. Animals progress so slowly, as do fish and flowers. There's not much you can do to speed them up either except just buy a lot of them. Jersey Cows don't come cheap though. I had to seperate the different animals in their pens because they cost a lot to feed, and it's not much use feeding them all if they aren't completeing a quest for you. At least, that's my opinion.
I've been getting very into the costs and profit margins of crops. I also started planting crops that take a little longer to mature because it gets very hectic trying to harvest a field every 15 minutes. I'm planting crops only at, or over, 45 minutes. If you water them, it gets faster if you need it. There's plenty to do otherwise while they grow. I'm cooking everything and discovered an eisel and electric keyboard that you can paint and play music on to earn more tickets. I gotta do all that stuff to pay the farm hands. Ha ha - wish that was true in real life.
Dragon Quest XI S
At the very end of my gaming session, I saw that this was preorderable and that it will come to Game Pass. I couldn't download it via Game Pass on my phone just now though, for some reason. I'll try again tomorrow. I'm thriled it's going to be Game Pass. What was that release date again?
