In Microsoft Haven there be dragons, and it's like the village in How To Train Your Dragon. Tech and dragons. Mecha dragons? I'm liking this idea.
Microsoft Solitaire Collection
I played this last night on my phone. I learned how to play Spider and FreeCell versions of solitaire. There are five different versions in the game. There are also daily challenges which I tried. I got an achievement, so that's confirmed. It was really more fun than I expected. I had to stop myself eventually because it was getting adictive. I'll play it some more in spare moments I think.
Haven, Rover Wars, Destroy All Humans Demos
Mr. Snee told me about this demo festival on Xbox. I check the games store every week and I missed this. Why do they not promote these things? Anyway, there are 70 demos in a section near the bottom of the games page in the store. I saw this lush rpg Haven that's also about long term relationships; Rover Wars which looks a lot like old Warcraft RTS games and has co-op and multiplayer; Destroy All Humans! which is a remake of the first game from 2005 that's out on Tuesday. I'm a big fan of the series and can't wait to jump in again. I actually met the voice actor who does one of the main characters at a con once. The problem with all this though was that I didn't have any time to play them once they downloaded because I was so involved with Farm Together. These demos might all expire on Monday too. Ah well.
Dragon Quest XI S
This is coming to Game Pass on Xbox so I downloaded what I thought was a preinstal file, but it was just a small file that will initiate the actual download on minute one when it releases on Tuesday [actually Dec. 4]. I hope my hard drive can fit it all.
Farm Together
Today's theme is Farm Hands. I experimented a lot with them today and figured out their range of activity and time of activity. They seem to go as far as six squares out from their post in all directions and stay active for at most 4 hours. This will cost you 4 tickets, which, if you keep cooking food in your houses, is no big deal. I'm thrilled with them and bought two. They cost 16 ribbons, which is a lot but they are useful. I made two fields of 13x13 with the farm hand in the middle square. It works great. They water and harvest everything you plant there and make things grow faster because they water constantly. It seems better than sprinklers which would cost me 72 ribbons to do that 13x13 field. I also positioned them at the farthest ends of my current holdings and placed teleporters nearby so I can check up on them. It's frickin' great! I'm never watering again. One, because the farm hands can do it, and two, because my fields are now too big to spend all that time watering them. I am knocking down quests quickly now, and I made my first million harvesting the fields I planted yesterday. Great!
Oh, and FABLE teaser at the end of the Microsoft Games Presentation!
