I started writing blogs for 1UP in 2010. That's about all. The rest is contained in this list of media I enjoyed that year.
TV: Wonders of the Solar System
This is a BBC documentary hosted by Brian Cox. I am a fan of astronomers. First it was Carl Sagan, then Neil deGrass Tyson and then Brian Cox. Brian Cox was a successful musician in the band D Ream before this. I guess like Brian May of Queen, he had a side interest in astronomy and made a second career out of it after music. I enjoy these shows a lot.
Film: A-Team
What a pleasant surprise this film was. It is based on the 80s tv show of the same name which I never watched a lot of. The movie is delightfully over-the-top and raucous. In one scene one of them parachutes in a tank and fires mid-flight. Brilliant! I also loved it for Sharlto Copley as "Howlin' Mad" Murdock. He is a South African actor whom I saw in the lead role in District 9 playing a very different character. I love his versitality. I followed him in movies for years later. Eveyone was great in this, though.
Game: Epic Mickey
I can't say this was the most enjoyable game to play, but I have such a strong memory of being hyped for it when it came out. I loved the dark vibe to the story and the gloomy gothic style art for the poster I got with the game. I also loved the painting mechanic where you have to add color back into the world. I just wish the controls were better. Like a lot of games I've had trouble with, I get a little farther every time I return to it, and return to it I still do.
Music: Blood Red Shoes "It's Getting Boring By the Sea"
I discovered this two-piece band watching the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. I think they are similar to the White Stripes, but I like BRS exponentially more. In the 2000s I've really discovered a lot of new bands and favorite songs through soundtracks. So I've been getting them for movies I liked. You never know what you'll find.
Book: New Avengers Volume 3
At the time I was really waiting for a new Doctor Strange comic. It seemed he was considered B-level and didn't have a series going at the time. So I got some old stuff until I heard he was part of the Avengers in this particular New Avengers series having to do with The Illuminati. Well, I was right there and ate those comics up. Who knew that in a few more years Doctor Strange was going to surge back into favor and get several movies, both animated and live action, and several new comic series of his own. I couldn't be happier for my favorite Marvel superhero.
What did you do in 2010?

I rented the A-Team movie and fell asleep during it. But one of the actresses playing in it was very pretty, I thought.
I liked Epic Mickey and its sequel, but they weren't perfect. I loved how they brought back Oswald, though. One of my feathers in my game reviewing cap is getting to sit in a panel discussion with Warren Specter, the creator of the Epic Mickey games.
The main game I enjoyed in 2010 that got my GOTY was Wario Ware: D.I.Y. on the DS. But I've bragged enough about how I won a game design contest for it, so I'll shut up about it now.

I fall asleep in action movies now too. Funny how things change. I used to love them, now they kind of bore me.
Warren Specter! Cool. I have a lot of respect for him.
Wario Ware is fun and interesting. I want to play another one.

I'm not sure when I started hanging out on 1up, but definitely before I moved to Arizona in 2012, maybe in 2008 or 2009... I'm not sure. I wrote a lot of blogs there.
I remember there was a lot of hype for Epic Mickey, but when it came out to mixed reviews, I kind of gave up on it.

Yeah, it got raked over the coals by critics I remember. I was a bit disappointed too but I still love the idea of it.

I loved A-Team. A friend and I watched it and The Expendables around the same time and were way more impressed by how fun A-Team was. I laughed hard when it took 15-30 minutes of action to see the title screen.
I was also hyped for Epic Mickey, but never got a chance to play it. I always loved the concept though.
My favorite two-piece band is Death From Above 1979.

NIce, I like Death From Above 1979. Makes me thing of Queens of the Stone Age a bit, a band I really like.
