Lots of stuff. Some I've spent more time with, others just briefly. It's a list.
Knight of Pen and Paper
Nifty turn-based RPG. You even have a table where your characters sit in front of a dungeon master as if you were all playing DnD. I was getting hooked on it, but then didn't return to it on Saturday because of other games. May return.
Dark Pictures: Man of Medan
I finished this game in about 3 hours. It looks amazing but you don't do a whole lot other than walking or swimming around clicking on an occasional item and then quick-time events when you get attacked. It has branching storylines, so how you answer in conversations determines some unknowns. Also, if you fail a QTE, you could lose a party member. I ended with only one survivor. Lots of jump scares, some very predictable, but you always jump anyway. Fun.
Super Lucky's Tale
Just for Game Pass quests, but I like it. I would've played more but I have a feeling it will come up in quests again (this is the second time), so I don't want to get too far in it yet. It's a cutsy platformer like Banjo-Kazooie.
Siegecraft Commander
My friend and I both bought this on sale for $4 but ended up not getting too far. It seemed like a tower defense game but it's a little different. You shoot towers and their connecting walls out onto the playfield and try and extend your control of the area. You use the left stick to aim left and right and pull back to increase power. It takes a fine touch and it's all in real-time, so enemies are coming at you while you are trying to place your towers. I kept getting behind and it became frustrating after a while. You can't cross your connecting walls so it's easy to box yourself in. I like it in concept but it's difficult to set up strategies. I may come back to it sometime to try some new ideas later.
Tales of Vesperia
It's a beautiful game with a whole lot of talking. Battles are in real-time, which I would rather be turn-based. I got kind of bared after a while. Maybe I just needed some more action today.
Doom Eternal
I eventually rage quit this game because of extensive platforming sections. Yes, platforming in a FPS - just why. I also don't like running out of ammo so quickly and all the time. What's the point of choosing an appropriate weapon for a demon when you know you'll very soon run out of ammo and the game auto changes weapons on you. I love it when you run out of everything and the chainsaw comes up in your hands, but it's out of gas, so you just yank the chord in front of the enemy. Wee! Not fun.
Jotun
Very handsome looking isometric action game with a Norse mythology storyline. I beat one boss, then started on another. I felt like the game was nothing but bosses, so I stopped. I'd rather explore and fight minions for a while first. Boss after boss annoys me. No one likes bosses.
Hotshot Racing
I got really hooked on this arcade racer that looks like a slightly upgrades N64 game - triangles everywhere apparent. Controls are pretty easy. To drift is just a tap of the brakes, no special button or difficult to control slide. AI cars are a bit evil though. They bump you whenever they are near, sometimes sending you into a guardrail. Mostly, though, I was winning a lot on the normal setting. I did every mode: Grand Prix, Single Race, Time Trial, Cops and Robbers, and Destruction (race fast or explode) and then started in on achievements. I think I'll play more of this tomorrow. It's fun and fast, just what I wanted today.
