Three Games

Just a triplet of gaming today. My gaming buddy is hobnobbing with his celebrity friends on Zoom. Geeze. Priorities.
Full Throttle: I played this up until the inevitable point where I get stuck and start throwing my controller at the screen. I got that dog into the crushed junkyard car with the meat. I think I'm supposed to activate the giant magnet to lift the car so the dog can't chase me, but I can't find a way to do that. I listened to a bunch of the commentary looking for clues, but that didn't help either. I got so frustrated because I like the story, visuals, and characters a lot and want to finish it. I don't look up walkthroughs any more. It takes me out of the game. Either I'm stupid or the game is stupid. Right now I feel cheated because the solution is probably obscure or unfairly hidden. I'm going to try Grim Fandango again and Day of the Tentacle later since they all just dropped in Game Pass.
Sudden Strike 4: I'm almost finished with the German campaign. Clearly, you would have better controls in the PC version of this, but it works well enough on the console. I can create a group of troops and select them instantly and move the whole group into positions. I can control airstrikes and recon now too. It's fun with a little bit of history thrown in.
Farm Together: Just plodding along on my single plot, growing my farm slowly. I still run out of money, but I just leave the game and play something else for a while until something is ready for harvest. I wish it was more true to its title because it should be called Farm Alone, or Minnesotan Bachelor Farmer Simulator. I feel like I becoming surly and grumpy playing it - always out of money, always alone with my silent plants and senseless livestock. I feel a rage quit coming on.
What are you up to this Halloween?
