Man, 2019 felt like it was just last year. :) My GOTY was the Switch remake of Link's Awakening, my number one favorite Zelda game. But there were a lot of other good games that year, too, like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Luigi's Mansion 3.
My Media Scrapbook: 2019

I was still working at the library and continuing to epic fail all other job prospects. I still watched/played/read some stuff though. Things weren't all bad.
TV: What We Do in the Shadows:
This is the TV show of the concept laid out in the 2015 film by the same name. The players are mostly different but the idea is the same. Vampires together in a house and their day to day trials living in the modern world. The film was hilarious and this is going to be soon my favorite TV show of 2019, I have no doubt.
Film: Nothing really stood out for me this year even though I saw films like Zombieland Double Tap, Midway ,and Rocketman in the theaters. I'm currently about to watch Ford Vs. Ferrari and 1917 to see if they impress me enough to make them a 2019 favorite.
Game: Borderlands 3
Although I could take or leave the story in this game, and a lot of the characters are now all annoying, not just Claptrap, I still loved the gameplay and thought it was about time to pay homage to the Borderlands series. B3 was one of those few games I got the season pass for and played every last bit of DLC the day they dropped. I also got every achievement. So I put a lot of time into this in 2019.
Music: Since I don't really have a favorite this year because I was mostly not following any bands, I'll just list the bands I followed the last decade or so: They Might Be Giants, Behemoth, Queens of the Stone Age, of Montreal and The Flaming Lips. From movie soundtracks, I've gotten interested in DJs such as Skrillex and Junkie XL. Games and podcasts have introduced me to chiptune rockers Anamanaguchi, and classical composer Gary Schyman. I just discovered the new wave band Sparks and who knows what will turn up in the future. There's always more out there.
Book: How to Cocktail
Since I've been cooking so much and using Milk Street and America's Test Kitchen cookbooks, I thought I'd expand into drinks too. This is a perfect book to learn about making them. Instructions are precise and clearly written. They give you a little history of the drink and tell you how to make everything from scratch, even the various syrups. I like to do everything from scratch if I can. I originally had this book out from the library, but it was so good, I bought it. I'm going to make every drink in the book, one new one a week. I think I'll eventually expand into coffee drinks and nonalcoholic drinks when I'm done.
