I've never felt compelled to try a Fire Emblem game. Just not into SRPGs.

Played some, no, a lot, yesterday, that being Monday. Less variety than usual though because my gaming buddy and I got into a bowling battle that never seemed to end. Here's the breakdown.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn: Another of my must-play-before-I-sell games for Wii. Turns out I'd played several hours of this a long time ago because there was an old save file. I started over though and learned the battle commands over again. It occurred to me that my interest in having a Battle Chess game that also had a story and quests, is basically this, a SRPG. Your players are like the pieces on a chessboard, you move turn-based on a grid and you try to eliminate your opposition, or take out a key piece to end the game. I like Fire Emblem RD a lot but I played it this time very recklessly on purpose in order to shorten the game. Subsequently, I died and got a game over screen pretty darn quickly. Too quickly. I want to play it again next week.
Farm Together: I'm saving up my ribbons to buy the warehouse. I bought a new plot of land and made every inch of it a collection of fields that are 12x9. They are nice and square too which enables an icon of whatever is planted there to show up on the sky-view screen. That way it's easy to see what I planted from anywhere I may be on the farm. I'm getting the useless cosmetic building itch but I don't want to squander diamonds since they are the things I need to open all the fields and the final achievement.
PBA Pro Bowling 2021: This version of the game lets you play like a real pro, so I chose Sean Rash. In real life, he's brash and obnoxious but I haven't seen anyone else I'd like to be yet. I think it's just a cosmetic choice anyway. I don't think it affects your actually bowling, just what you'll be looking at between shots. This version also lets you create your own match and invite a friend. So my buddy and I went head-to-head and played a very long time. We'd stop here and there and go back to online tournaments or career mode. You can earn XP and tickets to level up and buy new gear. My friend is using something called the Cannonball. It's super fast but lacks good control. He uses it for the dramatic effect of pins flying all directions. I was trying to bowl like I do in real life, but after a while, I got tired of that and experimented with doing it like some pros I've seen that use a crazy hook shot. I used a ball with a lot of hook and threw it towards the right gutter, pulling it hard the other way to make it hook back towards the pins. I got the hang of it and got my best score yet, 267. I was on track for a perfect game with 8 strikes in a row but missed one on the 9th frame. It's not easy getting that 300, I'll tell you.
Well, that's a day. Not gaming until next weekend but I'll still lurk around here as I usually do.
