Rolling through the games.

Zak & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure: (twice played): I really enjoyed this adventure/puzzle game. The graphics are so colorful and the animations so fun the look at. The puzzles are complex and challenging. I played through the first two zones of five or so puzzle locations each. You play four or so and then a kind of boss level. You use tools and found items to solve various problems in the environment so you can get to a chest and retrieve one of Barbaros' parts. He's like a gold skeleton of a pirate that needs to get put back together. Really, really fun puzzles. Excellent use of motion controls to do simple tasks. I cannot do the rhythm game stuff though.

Monster Hunter World: I had this around to complete a rewards quest and eventually gave up on it. I restarted and created a new character relearning the controls. I still couldn't get grappling to work in the field though. This game is so deep in its controls and options, it gets overwhelming. It also seems like getting multiple people in on a hunt is essential because solo monster battles take forever to complete. Those beasties take a lot of damage. If I could only get my claw weapon to grapple instead of just shooting rocks to attract the beast, I might be able to bring a bigger one down faster. This would be such a blast with more players on your team.

PBA Pro Bowling 2021: I had some trouble getting into a groove this time. Different locations present you with different oil patterns on the lanes which require you to change your timing. My friend and I went head to head for a while but he's been playing more than me recently and so beat me 9 times out of 10. Then I played some tournaments and got one more championship finished in career mode. Ever notice that popping sound some bowlers make when they bowl? It's their thumb coming out of the hole in the ball. Makes me laugh.

Madden NFL 20: For a rewards quest I played one game online against a real player. I lost 17-0 but I swear the AI for the players you don't control were much better than in solo mode. Neither of us could get a run game going, and I had every one of my passes dropped or blocked. Still fun though. My friend and I are going to play head-to-head sometime soon. He's getting a copy of the game so we can challenge each other. .

Payday 2: This, played for rewards points, was surprisingly fun even if I did get killed. I teamed up with AI players at first to complete a heist but then several real players, loaded to the gills with upgrades and better weapons, entered and we got the heist completed. The location was a shipyard, warehouse, and railyard - a pretty big area. We had to find some warheads in shipping containers, break them out and transport them to a waiting train on the other side of the shipping complex. Security is dropping in all over the place and you constantly have to shoot enemies. I tried to carry the warheads with a forklift but it turned over on me and I got knocked down. The ace players found an old muscle car, loaded the trunk with warheads, and ran it over to the train, where I helped load them up. Really fun and pretty easy to learn. I jumped in with only minimal training.

Farm Together (twice played): Just more routine quests only this time I was asked to plant a seriously huge number of trees. I had to clear out whole farmhand fields to get them all in. Also harvesting 200 yield fields is starting to feel like real farming. Imagine a long drive in the tractor across far expanses of fields. My town is starting to feel like a city to me with how dense the buildings are becoming.

Dragon Quest XI S (twice played): I beat the dark beast of the monastery and noticed I had picked up several new side quests. So I started doing them along the way. I discovered a new metal creature that gives you crazy XP. It's a hand made of metal that I found in a swamp. Thing gave me 35K XP. That's even better than metal slime. One killed my designated healer in one blow though. I recovered and got him. My friend is pretty far ahead of me even though I've been closing the gap. He's not doing side missions though, so I will probably not catch up. I'm enjoying this game but it seems like it will never end.

I am thinking BaD right now. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

I liked the music rhythm mini-games in Zack & Wiki because the songs they play are all from old Capcom games!  Some I remember include the main themes from Black Tiger, 1943, and Ghosts N Goblins.  But my favorite was Dr. Wily's stage from Mega Man 2!  Some of the trophies you get are bonus point icons from classic Capcom games, too.

If you can help it, I'd avoid selling Zack & Wiki if you can.  It's a pretty hard game to come by nowadays, and a forgotten gem on the Wii.

I had trouble with the waggle to complete the rhythm games. It didn't seem to register accurately. I noticed the Capcom characters you can find in the levels.

I think I will keep it even though the rhythm games stump me and that level with the mirrors and a time limit made me kind of mad. It has charm times 11.

I swear the running game in Madden 20 is hit and miss. Sometimes I can do no wrong while others the ball just doesn't move. I do like to blame the offensive line because that's my go to.

When I played solo on rookie, I could run all over the place. I don't know what the AI was set to for my online game, but we both got stopped with little gain. That being said, I could do a better job of hitting the gaps.

I got Zak and Wiki way back in the day, tried it and liked it, and then never got back to it. I'd really like to. Such a cool game.

Really complex puzzles too. I spent a good long time on a few of them.

I can never complete a pass in the newer Maddens. It's Maddening.

I noticed you can set the controls to being very simple and so I did. It becomes like an arcade game. You just snap the ball, move around and hit a button that corresponds to a reciever. Easy peasy. I am by no means going simulation with it at all.
