Haven looks really cool.
BaD 11: Some New Games

I think last Sunday Farm Together broke my brain. I got so burned out redesigning my fields again that I thought I'd just quit it altogether and my whole routine of about 4 different categories of games. I decided on a "relevancy" approach and simplified it all to just one game, the newest I could find that I didn't have to pay an arm and leg for. So, I downloaded two games that looked interesting that just happen to be on Game Pass. Here they are.
Call of the Sea:
This game interested me in its graphics which are very realistic but brightly colored almost like it was in a cell-shaded style - like a very high-quality comic book. It's a first-person adventure game that's narrative-driven. It takes place in the 30s. A woman is searching for her lost husband. It apparently has some H.P Lovecraft influence but it's not supposed to be a horror game or one that ends up with everyone insane. It just has a surreal nature. Me like that.
Haven:
Haven is also a game that attracted me by its art style. I'd say this is even closer to a cell-shaded comic book style than Call of the Sea. It's a third-person action RPG and survival game. It also attempts to depict a loving relationship in a realistic way. These are two young people who escaped an empty planet to explore a new one. You craft items in your ship and fight real-time battles against enemies. The battle system is supposedly like a rhythm game and not intended to break your brain with complexity. I think I can get into that right now.
I'll start right off with these next weekend. To heck with rewards quests and all that jazz. I'm just chillin' now.
