Just had time for a few hours of Farm Together today 'cause work called me in last minute. But in the morning I had thought of a better way to use those mostly cosmetic trains in the game. 

The game lets me place warp points so I can get around quickly, which is especially helpful as my farm expands, but I thought, why not build the railways to connect all the warp points. That way, if I have time, I can take the train to my fields like a real person might. I built the tracks to my first warp point from my starting warp point today and added a new station. You can only pick up the train at the station. If you get off at any time along the tracks, the train disappears. I don't like that but that's the way it is. So now I have a sort of use for the trains that makes them more interesting to develop. I hope to connect all 7 of my present warp points with track so I can leisurely travel to my fields when I need to harvest something.
