I got the special edition of that SNK Anniversary Collection and wrote about it a while back.

Short game day but a fun one.
Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan (Artifex Mundi) - This is a combination hidden-object and point-and-click adventure game (maybe those are the same genre?). Lovely graphics and interesting puzzles to solve but for whatever reason, I couldn't just make the very first potion in the game. I'd played it before and gotten a lot farther, but this time I got to the crafting table and got stuck. I had to light a flame underneath the mixing bowl. Before me was a pile of matches and on either side lit candles. I tried to pick up a match but the game wouldn't let me. I went in search of another source of flame in the adjacent rooms but couldn't find one. Then I tried to pick up the matches again and no go. What game has a pile of matches that you can't use for the simplest of actions? It really bothered me so I quit and uninstalled it. Stupid game.
Reus (Soedesco Publishing) - It's a god game. You control four different titans representing different natural elements and use them to create things on the surface of a world. Create the right things and humans appear and build towns. You then add and alter resources to enable them to build structures. You have a time limit at the end of which you get a score. It's a nice colorful game that I really got into. I ran the tutorials and then played a round. I'll keep it installed for further play.
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection (Other Ocean) - I jumped around a lot and played most of the games. I didn't spend a lot of virtual quarters for continues though because I find most of these games kind of frustrating - they kill you a lot. I did like Crystalis best I think. I just have to figure out what to do at the windmill and how to fight without taking damage. I also watched maybe half of the slideshows of the games in the museum section. The slideshow feature is really cool because you get some history of the games without having to read game manuals or a lot of text like in some other collections I've played. I'll keep this one installed for a while.

I used to be way into Ikari Warriors and those other war games but now I can't put up with their difficulty. Some of the vertically scrolling shooters were interesting but I have the same feeling with those as with the soldier shooters. Crystalis had my attention but no one was at the windmill like the villagers said there was.
