Three Video Game Ads

On this, comic's day, I found three video game ads in an issue of Ex Machina #31 from December of 2007. Here's what they look like.

aoe3

Age of Empires III: Asian Dynasties the second expansion to Age of Empires III. Being only on PC has prevented me from playing Age of Empires III. If I upgrade my laptop, I'll have Game Pass access to Age of Empires IV out later this year for Windows.

RFoMRes

A two-pager for Resistance: Fall of Man, PS3 exclusive from Insomniac games. I've played some of the first and third games in the series and always meant to go back and play them all completely. I have the whole series still for my PS3. Interesting that the three games have never been bundled in a collection like God of War. That should happen.

BD

Blue Dragon, a Xbox 360 exclusive with character/monster designs from a Dragon Quest artist whose name eludes me at the moment. You could call it an attempt to bring Dragon Quest to Xbox. We finally got that with DQXI. My friend and I both played this exhaustively when it came out. I, however, have never beaten it because I was unwilling to fight the final boss and lose access to exploring the world.

Good lord, that age of empires ad is horrible. {#emotions_dlg.surprised}

I would've much rather seen art from the game instead of these guys in costume.

It's not even good as camp.  Laughing

One thing I liked about the 360 is the variety of games it had.  Even RPGs.  I have Blue Dragon, but never beat it.  Today's RPGs are just too long and meandering.

I tried to replay it on Xbox One one day but the environments had so little detail, I couldn't keep up my interest.
