I got a request to capture this trailer from a very early demo disc used in kiosks in 2001. It's a neat disc in a way because it will just play through all the trailers automatically if you leave it running on an original Xbox.

I got this disc sort of by accident on eBay years ago looking for the first Official Xbox Magazine demo disc. The first OXM demo disc has very similar content, however, the Halo trailer on this demo disc for kiosks seems new to me. There's a voice-over I don't recognize and its whole production seems tailor-made for a television ad.

Man. I can't believe that was twenty years ago.

Yeah, kind of scary. In that time my two sisters had a total of six kids who are now all at or about to start college. Yikes!

I'm not really into Halo games, but my brothers sure did like them.  Only two things I remember about those games are when I watched them play.  Any time there was a vehicle, for some reason I always called them a tractor.  So I'd say, "Get in the tractor!" and they'd say, "That's not a tractor, Cary."

Another time I bought them a six pack of Mountain Dew Halo flavor, because they liked the game so much.  It had extra caffeine, which I probably shouldn't have given the youngest to.  Because after that his eyes got real dialated and he said, "Ican'tstoptalkingfast! Ican'tstoptalkingfast!" And I said, "Why don't you run around the couch a few times?"  And he said, "OK!"  ZOOM!

Have you ever played the Halo arcade game?

Ha ha. That's funny about your brother.

I think I saw that Halo arcade game at a Dave & Busters once and played it.

It is insane that Halo is now 20 years old. Mario was 20 years old when Halo came out. I was a PS2/GameCube guy, so I didn’t play Halo until Halo 3 on 360. I played it for a few months and quit. My finest moment was when I fired a Wraith turret and some idiot on my team jumped in front of me and got blasted. He started swearing on the mic and told my teammates to attack me. I took refuge in a fortress and managed to cost my team 15 points in own-team kills before they were able to boot me. My reputation on Xbox Live probably took a beating that day.

Players are sometimes so unforgiving. That's funny though.
