Game Log VII-XI-MMXXI

I've been watching a bunch of Looney Toons lately but I only want to watch the ones made in the 50s. I've learned to read the roman numerals in the copyright date at the beginning of each short film. I have often misremembered the titles to some of my favorite shorts. i thought one was Nightmare Hare but it's actually called Water Water Every Hare. Another is Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 Century but the one I really like is one with Bugs, Daffy and Marvin but I haven't nailed town the title yet. Anyway, gaming. Here's what a played that day. 

Rainbow Six Siege: Played this as part of a monthly Game Pass rewards quest. It came up before too and I played it then as well. I had to play a round of multiplayer. You are holed up on a ship stuck in the ice and attacked by soldiers who have just arrived in a submarine. You can barricade doors and windows. Our five-person team survived the waves of attackers. One round was enough for me. 

Minecraft: My friend and I spent a lot of time on several worlds looking for the Fortress in the Nether. I looked up a guide that suggested I take a sunflower with me into the nether and plant it. It always points East. That's apparently a good direction to head. I ended up just searching in each of the cardinal directions until I came to a dead-end, usually a cliff overlooking a lake of lava. I didn't find a fortress but I did find a similar building guarded not by blaze and those black skeleton knights but by pig men armed with crossbows. They attacked me on sight. My friend had given me a crossbow,but I hadn't used one in a while and had some trouble getting it to work right. The end result was I got overwhelmed and defeated. I was really annoyed that after two worlds and several hours played I still hadn't found a fortress and the needed blaze rod or even saddles for horses (why you can't just make a saddle is beyond me). So I quit. 

Nightmares from the Deep 3: I'm getting along quite well in this game. There is a certain type of puzzle I usually skip because it takes too long for me to solve. It's the one where you shuffle around objects on a grid of paths so they form a certain pattern. To heck with that. Thankfully the game lets me do that. I probably miss out on an achievement but whatever, I just want to progress in the game and awaken Davy Jones' daughter to break the pact my daughter made with Davy.

Why are you watching Looney Tunes?  Is it in preparation for the new Space Jam movie?

I was looking for 1950s things to watch. I think I saw Marvin on an image from the first Space Jam. I don't think I ever saw that film though. 

I'm on to Three Stooges films now.

Yes. It's a pretty good Diablo-style action rpg. I like it but my friend never got it (I have it through Game Pass) so playing solo limited my interest in it. I am going to play it again though. They do weekly challenges and have added all sorts of new content to it.

I have a Rainbow Six game on Steam, but I forget what's called... It takes place mostly in Vegas I think. I played a little of it, but didn't get very far. I'd like to give it another shot. As I've gotten older, I've come to prefer the "thinking man's" shooters.

I'm not into FPS games with modern-day settings for some reason, but I'll try them occasionally.
