Mainly spent my time chasing down the weekly Game Pass rewards but tried some others as well.

Moving Out: I had to wait for the two games with Game Pass rewards quests to download so I played this Games with Gold freebie I got this week. I got pretty carried away with it. You are a mover and are tasked with moving objects out of houses into your truck. You try not to wreck the place but it's clear that you're supposed to do it. Glass breaks, TVs get chucked out of windows, and doors get broken off their hinges as you try and get all the items into the truck as quickly as possible. The dialog is funny and the gameplay works well. As you go the houses get bigger and new obstacles get in your way like ghosts. New gameplay elements are eventually added like conveyor belts. Finally, there is a conspiracy you get involved in and things get really crazy resulting in more complex spaces that become very puzzle/platform in their design.

I was going strong in the game until I got to a room where I had to move curved pieces of machinery around flame throwers. I felt the game was asking me to do much more precision work than the controls allowed and so I stopped playing. Really cool game though. I wish that one level wasn't so frustrating though.

Halo Wars 2:  Game Pass wanted me to use 6 blitz cards. I had to play blitz mode which is like firefight in Halo. Hoards of enemies try and take control of the map. You play cards to add forces and various effects. I used all six, played until I got beat and stopped. One of these days I'll finish the campaign in this game.

No Man's Sky: I didn't really play it because all I had to do for a reward was start it up, but I kept it on my hard drive. I'd like to dig into it again sometime.

Payday 2: Starbreeze did this. I wish they'd done another Riddick game instead, but I played it for rewards points. 2 kills needed. I played some of the tutorial level and one mission which is always online with other players. I didn't complete anything, just shot the first guys I saw. The rewards didn't drop for a while which made me keep playing. It's cool, just not my thing really.

Rocket Knight: Another Games with Gold free game this month. It's pretty cool. I like the jetpack mechanic. Works really well. It's a 2D side-scrolling action platformer. I got stuck on a boss though and stopped. Big metal beast wouldn't take my damage. Not sure what I was missing there.

Lego Indiana Jones 2: I played through the Temple of Doom levels and some of the movie that came after which I'm forgetting right now. I've noticed the levels have gotten much bigger from the previous three or four games. I have to remind myself to follow the green arrow because otherwise, I'd roam all over the larger maps trying to uncover every secret. That's for free-play mode later on.

That's a weekend. Forza Horizon 5 comes out on Tuesday. I'll be playing it next weekend probably to the exclusion of everything else. Can't wait.

I reviewed Moving Out last year.

I played a demo of Rocket Knight back on the 360.  I was glad to see Konami bring back Sparkster from the 16-bit days, but I never bought the full game for whatever reason.

I used the toaster-head guy. He pops out toast from time to time, sometimes burnt toast. Haha. I'm not sure what triggers that but maybe there was a stamina bar. He seemed to pop toast when he got tired.
