I miss going to video game stores like that. A long time ago, on the way to Austin for a concert, my friend and I stopped at a retro game store that was pretty cool.

This is a retro game store I found today in Glenside, PA while trading in old games. The town just borders northwest Philadelphia.
I first traded some stuff in at Gamestop, got $40 in store credit, but there were some they didn't want. The salesman told me of this retro store in Glenside, so I went there to see. Game Junkies didn't want the stuff I had leftover, but I was amazed at their collection of games, consoles and memorabilia. They didn't have the one game I was looking for, though, Dragon Quest IV.
Here are a few short walkthroughs from youtube. This first one shows the exact same view of the way I approached the store on foot.
This next one shows their basement which I didn't see while there.
And this is a really deep dive into the store with good slow video of the display cases and things they have there. It's quite amazing.
I felt like I'd just entered Santa's game workshop, or rather Sumo Santa's shop. It was definitely a gamer's Xmas experience being there. I wanted to buy a lot but I resisted for now. I only had one game in mind, Dragon Quest IV and they didn't have it. I called my friend, though, and he wanted a copy of Duke's of Hazzard for Atari 2600. I found a Colecovision Adam version and got that for him.
This is definitely going to be my goto retro store from now on.
