Congrats on the upgrade. I haven't gotten a Xbox One or X/S yet because there just aren't enough games on it to interest me and make me want to buy one. i've got plenty to play on my PS4 and Switch anyway.
New Console for No Money

Well, I got a new console for trade-in value which is not exactly free, but I was happy I had enough to upgrade my Xbox One to a Xbox Series S. Here's a pic.
I traded in mucho games and my PS4 to get the Xbox Series S for no money down. I've really come to the conclusion that with today's wealth of gameage on systems tied to the internet, I really don't have time for more than one console. I could've gotten a Switch but when would I have time to play it? My buddy plays Xbox One, so that's what I usually play too so we can challenge each other and compare gamerscore. My old idea of owning all three current-gen systems is a thing of the past.
I hooked up the Series S and set it up with the Xbox app on my phone. It was easy. I played Spyro: Year of the Dragon from the Reignited Trilogy first.
I noticed very quick loading times between areas in the game and slightly better graphics. Even a few seconds difference in loading times is noticeable. I feel like I'm never out of the game's world as I move from region to region. I like that. I also noticed faster performance in the Xbox Series S menus.
Next I played Genesis Noir as part of a MS rewards quest.
This is a very strange game. You have to really guess to figure out what the controls are or what you can do level to level. I only needed one achievement but it took me a good while to get it. I enjoyed it but, inevitably with games that tell you nothing and have puzzles galore, I got stuck.
Finally I started a download on a Xbox Series S exclusive (I think) I wanted to try, Lawn Mowing Simulator.
Partly as a joke, but also partly because I used to love to mow lawns as a teenager. I even had a little neighborhood business going back then. It paid for all my photography gear at the time. Woohoo! Mowin' those lawns. I wonder if they'll have a manual push mower as I've always dreamed of? haha.
