I must confess, I've never heard of this one or the TV show it comes from.

The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom is another kid-friendly tv licensed game I tried on Xbox's Game Pass. Published by Outright Games who also published two other games I blogged about, Paw Patrol: On a Roll and Ben 10. I can't seem to discover the developer. It was fun though and short.
Howlongtobeat.com says 4 1/2 hours. Again, like Hydrophobia, I got a bit bored and annoyed and stopped near the end. I don't like games that constantly bombard you with suicidal enemies making it difficult to avoid taking a lot of damage. But I had fun with it and may even return to finish it one day when I need some achievements.
Its gameplay is a bit like Zombie's Ate My Neighbors or Diablo III. Isometric view shooter/brawler. You have four characters to choose from and change them at special kiosks in the world. I believe it had online co-op ability too, but I had no one to pair up with anyway. I think it would be a blast in co-op. There are secrets to find but not a lot of them. You can drive a vehicle through the towns too and run over zombies. There are boss battles that are mostly easy. I did get a bit bored after a while and then somewhat annoyed because in these types of games (like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance) you get bull rushed a lot. I always choose a ranged weapon character too and I always can't keep my distance in order to shoot arrows or whatever. I find that very frustrating.
I noticed the main protagonist's voice sounds exactly like the host in Disneyland Adventures. I'd bet it's the same voice actor but I can't seem to find deep details of the game like that online.
Well, another short, but mostly satisfying game thanks to Game Pass. Also, those tasty chievos.
