Trog is awesome. I never played the NES version, which is what is advertised here, but I did play the arcade version a lot. I liked the arcade version because of course it played like Pac-Man, but I also liked the clay animated graphics it had as well. I read somewhere that once Trog was going to be a totally different game and play more like Lemmings, but they thought that would be too complicated for an arcade game and changed it to play more like Pac-Man instead. There was an arcade locally called Nickel Mania that let you play arcade games for super cheap, and for some reason, Trog was always set to Free Play, so that's how I played it a lot! :)

I found more interesting video game print ads in old comics I picked up in the bargain bin at my comic shop (Ren and Stimpy and Pirates of Dark Water no. 1).
Gotta love the 2-pagers. This is the Sega Game Gear X-Men game from 1994. It was their best selling game for the system that year and got pretty good reviews.
Castlevania Bloodlines for Sega Genesis in 1994. It sold very well and got good reviews. I think I have this on the Castlevania Anniversary collection on Xbox Series S.
NBA Jam for SNES, Genesis and Game Gear. I have never played the Game Gear version.
Sonic. I find it strange they don't have the full game title on the ad, Sonic The Hedgehog, but I guess everybody knew instantly what they were showing back then.
I never used a Game Genie. The power of coding. If only I could Game Genie my life.
Trog. The NES conversion of the arcade game. I've never seen this game in an arcade and have never played it. It's apparently a maze game not unlike Pac-Man.
