Soon Lego Batman 2 Done, LotR Begun

I'm almost finished with Lego Batman 2. I've gotten all the achievements that I can get but one. This means I've got a dozen or so gold bricks left, a handful of unlocked characters, and a few other oddities like saving the last few "people in peril". I'm still debating with myself whether it's worth the time and effort to go after them, but I have one achievement left I can get easily and that's getting 10 billion in studs. I'm at 3.5 billion and I have all the stud boosters unlocked so that I make about 3600X. Still, 10 billion is a lot and will require going through all the levels again as that's where a lot of the studs can be found in quantity.

Yesterday I discovered The Flash. He can run faster than any vehicle, and it was fun to dash around the open city trying to pick up as many studs as possible. I was hoping to come across something new but at this time it's a devil finding them even with the locators on. I'm on the verge of either stopping or looking up walkthroughs. At the moment, I'm dead set against walkthroughs.

So very soon I will play Lego The Lord of the Rings, the next game released in the series. This game was recently available digitally on Xbox Series S but is now vaporware. I've heard the license has expired with Microsoft, which is strange because Lego The Hobbit is still avialable (seperate licenses I'm guessing), so I've been hunting down the Xbox 360 version, and today I found a copy at Game 'N DVD Exchange. $10 too which is better than either Amazon or ebay. I love buying at brick and mortar stores: I get the game in hand, no guessing as to it's quality before arrival, and I'm ready to play it tomorrow; that is, if I'm finally done with Lego Batman 2 which I'm not quite.

I am, of course, playing several other games. My process now is playing a game until I unlock an achievement and then moving on to the next in my set. I have about 7 or 8 games in the set, and it changes frequently. Some have stayed in the rotation however like Gems of War and Forza Horizon 5

Dominos

A new game I got recently is Domino Master. It's just Dominos and it was $5 on Xbox Series S. There are five versions of the single player game and a host of variables you can change within those. In order to get an achievement for beating the Expert AI ten times, I changed the win points to the minimum and used the 9 point count domino set (the dominos count up to nine instead of six). There are various modes that score differently than the straight way to play: two give points for multiples of 5 or 3, another gives points for matching the numbers on either end of a row, and finally one has you lay down dominos as if they were cars in a train the object being to be the first to "build" the train with all your dominos (see pic above).

There is a online multiplayer mode but it wasn't working last I checked. That's funny because other Xbox 360 games on Xbox Series S like Viva Pinata Party Animals and Hydro Thunder Hurricane (both recently Games with Gold games, and ones in my current set) have working online multiplayer. I'll keep trying though.

Well, that's a snapshot of some stuff I've been playing.

I think I reviewed LEGO Lord of the Rings, but I didn't review LEGO The Hobbit.  I'm not a big fan of Lord of the Rings anyway.

Well, my copy of Lego LotR didn't work anyway. I've got another local game shop to try my luck at and see if I can't get a working copy.

I'm excited to see how they managed creating the LotR world in legos. I used to love the LotR but now it seems overly grim to me.
