Mega Man X was my introduction to Mega Man, or maybe X2 was. I rented both quite a bit.
1992 Binge List

I picked up a few games today at Game Junkies along the lines of early 90s (2 Genesis, 2 SNES and 1 NES game) but not any of these listed below which were unavailable or pricey. Good thing many of them are available digitally with subscriptions or relatively cheap. Here's my list for '92.
Knights of the Round: Playable on Capcom Beat 'em Up Collection. I played it last week and enjoyed it. I bet it looks great in its original arcade cabinet.
X-Men: Only playable in the arcades but it did get ported to X360/PS3 once but it's no longer available. I don't remember if I bought it or not and I'd need to break out the 360 to find out. I got a X-Men Genesis game today, which may be a port, but may be it's a different game. I'll find out. In any case, my friend Mark (aka Mad Krammer) and I played the beat 'em up X-Men arcade game back in the day and I know an arcade near me that has one. Sounds like "road trip". (Oh! I saw Insomniac is working on a Wolverine game! Oh my, I'll be watching out for that).
Dragon Quest V: Maybe the DQ games 1-6 have been released in Japan like the FF1-6 Pixel Perfect remasters here in NA recently, but it doesn't help me at all. There is a DS port but I don't have it and it'll cost some bucks to get. I just hope they remaster the series and bring it to NA someday. What's up with that anyway?
Final Fantasy V: Would love to play it, especially its PS port, but it's likely pricey. Good thing there is the remaster on Switch/PS4.
Romancing SaGa: Fourth game in the SaGa series that was once called Final Fantasy Legends for some baffling reason. I have the third game in the series. This one came out on SNES and digitally on Switch/PS4. I'll check it out.
Super Mario Land 2: I think Super Lucky's Tale has made me more brave to try platformers. I'm looking for the GB game in the wild, but I'll likely just play it on Switch with my membership.
Kirby's Dream Land: Hey the first Kirby game! I have the Dream Collection on Wii but I don't have my Wii set up at the moment. It's on Switch as part of their subscription membership I'm pretty sure though.
Road Rash II: I looked for any of the 3 Genesis Road Rash games today but found none. They haven't been ported anywhere but PSP's EA Replay, and my PSP isn't working. I'll keep checking around for a Genesis copy locally. They should be cheap.
Contra III: Alien Wars: My friend Mark (aka Mad Krammer) and I played the heck out of this co-op on SNES back in the 90s. I don't have the cart anymore though. But it's on Contra Anniversary Collection for most systems. I'll play it again there.
Shining Force: The Shining series is interesting. Mark and I played Shining in the Darkness on Genesis a bunch back then. Shining Force is on the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for X360/PS3 and on Switch somewhere. I have the SUGC but I'll look for it on Switch not wanting to hook up my 360.
Wizardy II: Knight of Diamonds: This Apple computer RPG was ported to NES just like the first one. Problem is, it's devilishly hard. The first level is full of pits and traps that are so super annoying, I never really progressed in it. I still have the NES cart though, so maybe I'll take another shot at it. The next Wizardry game they ported was IV on SNES and that too was a pain. I most want to play Wizardry VI but it's PC only (maybe on Steam?). My friend just got a Steambox. Seems an option but a pricey one.
Wolfenstein 3D: Oh a classic and ported to everything including the latest refrigerators. Okay, maybe not refrigerators, but most everything else. I'll play it again, maybe go after an achievement I missed last time.
Dune II: Ported to Genesis and an influential RTS. I'd love to play it but will likely not as the cart is the only option (except maybe the PC version on Steam?) I picked up two strategy games today PTO on SNES and Ghengis Khan on NES both made by Koei I think. I've always wanted to try some of these early strategy games.
Mega Man 5: I'll bash my head in again on this in the Legacy Collection. I think I will like the Mega Man X series better though as I tried one of those once and didn't die right away. I'll have to pick up the X collection sometime.
That's '92 for me. More than plenty to sample this and subsequent weeks when I finish my rewards points gathering and social gaming.
