This was an awesome year. You left out Super Metroid, one of the greatest games of all time.

According to wiki, the Genesis and Game Boy won the sales race for consoles and handhelds; Daytona USA and Mortal Kombat II were the winners in the arcades; and Donkey Kong Country for consoles. It's interesting, but what this blog is about is more self-centered. It's my wish list. So here 'tis:
1. DKC: Also like the replay this when I can. I don't have the cart anymore though so I'll have to play it on Switch.
2. Final Fantasy VI: I'll have to get the Pixel Perfect remaster on Switch to play this.
3. Doom II: I wouldn't mind revisiting this. I believe it was part of Doom for Playstation way back in '95, which is something I used to own. I don't anymore. The version released for Xbox 360 is still available on Xbox Series X|S though, so I'll play it there.
4. Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors: I don't usually play fighting games, but the strange characters and darkly colorful environments of this series have a hold on my soul. I can play this on Xbox via Capcom Fighting Collection.
5. Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom: Another arcade beat 'em up I really like. It's playable on the Chronicles of Mystara collection. I have it on Xbox.
6. Warcraft: Orcs & Elves: The first Warcraft game! I even still have the CD for it. I'd have to run DosBox or something to play it from disc I think, or maybe it's on Steam. I so wish they'd release this for consoles like they're doing for Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 right now. I used to play this a lot back in the 90s on my PC.
7. Heretic: The almighty Raven Software put out this fantasy themed Doom clone and it was good. My friend Mad Krammer and I played the heck out of it back in the day. It's on Steam right now, but I wish it was ported to consoles like Doom was.
8. Blackthorne: Blizzard Entertainment became named Blizzard this year and this and Warcraft were some of their first games. DC artist Jim Lee did the SNES visuals, so I'm intrigued. It's on the Blizzard Arcade Collection for current consoles, so I may check it out.
I may get to pinball machines for this year too. A good number of them are on Farsight Studio's Pinball Arcade on consoles.
What was good for you in '94, if you remember it?
